What's your take on asking someone via text to ask their sibling whether or not they would like to get to know you if there are no other ways to get in touch seeing as you met them twice but really want to talk to them and learn more? What would one even say in the message? -BadAtTexting
Hey lovely,
I also, as a bad texter, struggle with figuring out how to text people about things. If I were you, I’d try to figure out if you can contact the sibling without going through their sibling. Can you add them on facebook or other social media? It puts the middle person in an awkward position having to play messenger. If you have no other option, then go for it! Really, what’ve you got to lose? You don’t know them too well yet, so the worst they could say is they’re not interested in forming any new connections, and you can move on with your life. We have to take some risks in life in order to make progress. As for the actual message, it could just be something along the lines of “Hey, would your brother/sister be interested in getting to know me better/going out for coffee/etc”. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, simple and direct would get the point across. I hope this helps!
Love,
Kenz
