~ Horizons Ep. 22
Nasteeth - Plaque Pokémon
Type - Poison / Fairy
Ability - Stench / Rattled / Weak Armor (Hidden)
Evolves into Calavity at level 26.
It flits about, spreading filth wherever it lands. An old wives’ tale says that naughty children who don’t eat their vegetables will have their teeth fall out and become Nasteeth.
Calavity - Plaque Pokémon
Type - Poison / Fairy
Ability - Stench / Rattled / Weak Armor (Hidden)
It’s too heavy to fly, so instead it sneaks into houses and uses its wiry arms to steal the teeth of sleeping occupants to add to its collection. The scent of mint is repulsive to it.
Inktober Day 10- Flowing
Eggad- Eggshell Pokémon
Type- Poison
Ability- Stench/Shell Armor/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Unlike most Pokémon, who simply discard their eggshells after hatching, Eggad clings tightly to it for its entire life. When it’s born, it produces a sticky fluid that helps repair most cracks in the shell so it’s only split down the middle. As it ages, it begins to secrete a chemical that reinforces the shell’s structure to make it stronger. When frightened or sleeping, it squeezes its liquid, amorphous body inside the shell.
Ornamelt- Fancy Egg Pokémon
Type- Poison/Steel
Ability- Intimidate/Shell Armor/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Evolves from Eggad when traded holding a Metal Coat.
Ornamelt’s eggshell is coated on the inside with a strong metal alloy that ensures it will never break. The Pokémon now keeps its most vulnerable point, its head, inside the shell at all times to protect it. It produces adhesive secretions that it uses to attach gemstones and other reflective, shiny items to the shell to scare away foes and show dominance over other individuals when mating season arrives.
Novraian Vanillite- Fresh Snow Pokémon
Type- Ice/Grass
Ability- Double Dip/Snow Cloak/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Novraian Vanillite migrated south due to heavy predation from Pokémon such as Sneasel and Vesuvicius. Snow does not last all year in the areas to which they moved, so they became herbivorous, feeding on leaves and fruit. By eating the leaves of a certain plant, their bodies took on a unique flavouring which is repulsive to their former predators... but in the process, they became prime targets for hungry Minsect.
Novraian Vanillish- Icy Snow Pokémon
Type- Ice/Grass
Ability- Double Dip/Snow Cloak/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Evolves from Novraian Vanillite at level 30.
To protect itself from Minsect, Novraian Vanillish guards itself with a shell of bark stripped from a tree. This Pokémon tends to be gluttonous, hoarding berries and leaves in its shell to eat later. The cold air emitted from its body helps preserve its stash. As it grows, it moves out of its shell and creates a larger one, but it also leaves behind all the food it stored, which becomes a tasty meal for other Pokémon.
Novraian Vanilluxe- Snowstorm Pokémon
Type- Ice/Grass
Ability- Double Dip/Snow Warning/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Evolves from Novraian Vanillish at level 42.
Novraian Vanilluxe’s shell overflows with chilled fruit, which the two heads consume ravenously. Anyone who tries to pluck even a single berry from its stash will be attacked mercilessly with howling blizzards. Despite its aggressive temperament towards thieves, its trust can be easily earned by offering it sweet treats. Before the invention of refrigerators, these Pokémon were used to store perishable food.
Double Dip is a new ability in Novrai, originally from Pokéngine. It doubles the effect of any Berry consumed during battle.
Candleru- Wax Fish Pokémon
Type- Water
Ability- Flash Fire/Water Veil/Swift Swim (Hidden)
Candleru’s body is covered in a strange, thick wax that can stay ignited even underwater. For some reason, they are compelled to seek out sources of fire to light themselves up. Obviously, this is difficult in their natural habitat, so they look for Trainers that use Fire-type Pokémon in the hopes of catching fire. The wick on their head is their most vulnerable point.
Smeltdown- Candle Fish Pokémon
Type- Water/Fire
Ability- Flash Fire/Weak Armor/Turboblaze (Hidden)
Evolves from Candleru at level 30 while knowing a Fire-type attack.
Candleru lucky enough to be set on fire evolve into Smeltdown, whose powerful flames can survive underwater. This makes it a dangerous predator, as most undersea life is not prepared to deal with fire. It comes with a side-effect, though- it can no longer dive very deep, as the cold water risks putting out its fire. Many Smeltdown express jealousy at Candleru’s other evolution for being able to travel deep below the surface.
Exfinguish- Burnt Out Pokémon
Type- Water/Ghost
Ability- White Smoke/Water Veil/Heatproof (Hidden)
Evolves from Candleru at level 30 while not knowing a Fire-type attack.
Candleru that are unable to ignite themselves eventually lose the capacity to do so at all, evolving into Exfinguish. These Pokémon give off such a fire-retardant aura that their mere presence can instantly put out huge blazes, making them valuable for firefighters. Their bodies are also frigid to the touch, cooling down their surroundings several degrees. They have grown bitter over their own inability to catch fire, and generally resent Smeltdown for its warm flames.
Day 10 of Blue’s Spooky October Art Challenge- Unable to See
Shivrr- Half-Melted Pokémon
Type- Ice/Dark
Ability- Puddle/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Shivrr seem to be perpetually melting, regardless of the temperature around them- they have the exact same ratio of solid ice to liquid in deserts as blizzards. Despite this, they have an extreme aversion to heat, and will try to spray any sources of warmth with their own melted body. They appear unexpectedly, usually in early spring when the snow begins to thaw, but there are reports of them appearing in the dead of winter or the middle of summer too.
Icecreep- Half-Melted Pokémon
Type- Ice/Dark
Ability- Puddle/Weak Armor (Hidden)
Evolves from Shivrr at level 34.
The scarf around Icecreep’s neck serves as its limbs, used for grabbing and examining objects. It’s always soaked, though, so it’s usually unpleasant to have it touch you. Many people have a distaste for them, particularly due to their habit of appearing out of nowhere in the middle of the night and staring motionlessly into people’s houses for hours and hours. When properly trained, it can form as strong a bond as any other Pokémon, but Trainers must be careful of it wrapping its scarf around them. While it seems to be an affectionate gesture, people caught in Icecreep’s grasp will start to rapidly lose body heat until they expire of pneumonia.
Puddle is the signature ability of Shivrr and Icecreep. Upon entering battle, Pokémon with Puddle will activate Water Sport, weakening Fire-type moves on both sides of the field for five turns.
(@wingsofachampion) Hiya! What's your favorite thing about humans? -Tropius
Ah. You know? I’m not sure? There’s nothing exactly unique to humanity, if you think about it. We just have a certain collage of a few traits that make us up in comparison to other species. I think maybe that’s my answer? I guess?
MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT HUMANS IS BEING ONE.
...I thought the Seviper in the picture was you at first.
Nope! I’m all organically human. Always wished I was a pokemon though if that’s not, insensitive? To say?
