While we’re on the topic of BNHA, I’ve also added my Postcards to my Etsy!  Yeah I’ve been making a lot of BNHA stuff lately... Including adding to my BNHA badges.  There’s now a silly amount =‘D Just how I like it.

Headcanon: A lot of the titans learned Spanish when Más y Minus was learning English. Upside it was a sweet gesture downside now they can’t swear

alternate headcanon: a lot of the titans attempted to learn spanish, a few succeeded, most only learned the basics (including swearing). 

raven can read and write in fluent spanish, but doesn’t speak it as much because she wants her to be vocally fluent/not embarrassingly awful so it takes longer (and involves lots of careful practicing in her room) to speak it well, though it sounds a little text-booky. 

Bumblebee learns it verbally first, and doesn’t bother as much with writing it, though she can read spanish. she sounds fluent and loves rolling her r’s, and enjoys being able to finally talk to and order más y menos around

aqualad’s voice doesn’t click super well with romance languages (much to his chagrin) as he can speak some fish language idk but it probably centers in screeching. anyway he can read, write, and say basic things , and knows all the best swears to say to speedy

cyborg learns it fluently from online learning and from más y menos themselves, a prankmaster’s gotta have his proteges. he’s the first to learn it fluently. 

speedy isn’t great with languages. he tries really hard tho, even if he says he just doesn’t care and is being flippant he’s really studying secretly in his room , even if it’s hard for him to memorize vocab and grammar rules and conjugation he’s trying (and aqualad finds out and thinks it’s cute, and since he sees how much it effects speedy he doesn’t really tease him about it)

beast boy learns bare basics and mostly learns how to flirt and insult people in spanish, but since he asks más y menos for these translations sometimes the phrases get a little mixed up lol

robin one day cannot speak spanish and the next he can. nobody knows how this happened, and when asked, he just shrugs and says “i never said i couldn’t speak spanish.” and suddenly nobody knows anything for sure

starfire is great at learning languages but mixes them up all the time when she’s learning them.. naturally. robin didn’t let her learn spanish the same way she did english and japanese , and they got to do study dates. one day though she could suddenly speak fluent spanish and was surprisingly tightlipped on how (más y menos were distraught that they hadn’t, in fact, receiving a kiss from starfire, yet she still managed to learn the language) she totally didn’t fly to mexico and spain just to be sure she knew both dialects 

also they didn’t stop swearing as much they only did it a lot quieter and with much more creativity and when bumblebee was out of the room for plausible deniability
