not because the game is bad (because it most definitely isn’t) but because i’ve been avoiding bethesda games since morrowind for a reason. and yet...

Event: Leap Of Faith
Upon refusing to participate in the previous event, the task that came after had seemed deceptively simple. The instructions provided resembled the tightrope task, in that he was once more required to cross to the other side of a gap, avoiding hazards placed along the way. An arrangement that now appeared to be inverted, in this case, heightening the difficulty.
Letting crimson spheres settle upon the bridge, he studied the expanse of platforms for a time, as if convinced he could pick apart the illusions cast. Uncover the correct tiles to step upon, stepping nimbly around the fake substitutes that would send him plummeting towards the pillows beneath.
Opting to take a vigilant approach, once he was ready, Miguel stepped off the ledge and onto the first platform, finding a sturdy surface. Although relieved, he did not see fit to begin celebrations just yet, a, from this platform, he would soon cross to another, and one more after that. Drawing upon his enhanced perception to guide him, this chain of motion forged a path that saw only one or two near fumbles, steps that veered towards the concealed pitfalls before the Spider reconsidered his next move.
All in all, this strategy had served him well, taking him all the way towards the other side of the bridge, where one final selection of tiles kept him from stepping onto the other side. So close, and yet, here his luck would run out, as, meaning to choose the righthand path had inadvertently cause Miguel to stumble, veering left by accident--
And straight through a fake tile, falling, falling...
Except he didn't? As, determined to salvage his attempt, Miguel had spread wide his arms, reaching for the nearest surface to latch onto... and found the side of the platform, talons burrowing into its side keeping him suspended in place, his gaze falling to the pit extending underneath.
Rather than haul himself to safety, he decided to let the judges determine the outcome - all in the spirit of adhering to the game's rules.
Result: A talon's length from reaching the other side.
