Paws of Chance, Moonclan (Post 1)
(paws of chance is a placeholder title for my warriors x danganronpa another au)
So... it took a very long time but I have some stuff to share about my warriors au now. (Actually, a lot of stuff probably.) Maybe I'll do a masterpost eventually because I quickly realized this wasn't all going to fit in a couple posts haha.
This au has a completely different set of clans and locations than the Warriors series. One of these four is Moonclan, which is the one I'll probably talk about most.
Moonclan is most known for cleverness and teamwork. They are considered eccentric and strange by some. This is partially thanks to their sometimes unusual strategies and habits (Mostly a result of their territory having a variety of unique habitats and features). Out of all the clans, Moonclan tends to be the most openminded and welcoming of outsiders. The xenophobia usually common in Warriors is pretty much absent from Moonclan, as they treat those outside the clans similarly to those within, and have a history of taking in loners, rogues, cats from other clans, and even kittypets. In fact, this clan has the most warriors descended from 'outsiders' and many of their current young warriors were not born in Moonclan. When it comes to the other clans, Moonclan has close ties with Nightclan, and has very poor relations with Sunclan.

For not reason (SPMATON) who said that Hu
I had sketched something for this ask initially but I lost it so here's a newer big sho- I mean Jim!
Dr. Harley Sawyer is unfortunately a hear me out
I remember nothing from Poppy Playtime ch4 but that guy
I really curious about if he helps in ch6 or not lol
I can definitely agree that his character as a whole is interesting. And powerful, too. He made for a good chapter four villain fight. He made a very good impression in that chapter, and his voice actor did such a good job with his voice, too. I like him a lot. Very very cool.
He's also very mysterious... I wonder in the original plan, after he died, if we would've gotten some questions answered for him. I don't know exactly what's been revealed about him ( because honestly, it's a little difficult for me to focus on Poppy Playtime videos for whatever reason ), but I want to understand why he's working under the Prototype in the first place, and why the Prototype either seems to be letting him do whatever he wants or somehow ordering him around.
While I will admit that I liked it better if he died in chapter 4, it also slightly makes sense that he didn't. Leaving his brain out in the open like that... kind of a stupid idea, Harley.
Then there's the matter of chapter six. The truth is that there's only two ways this can go : he can still be working for the prototype and be fighting us the entire chapter ( much like Huggy was for chapter five ), or he can be an ally of sorts, helping us around the entire chapter like you said. I think though, personally, if he helps us around, he is going to die this time. Every new ally we get either leaves us for some fucking reason ( waiting for Giblet to do this like Poppy and Doey did ), or just dies entirely ( Huggy and Kissy, rip ), so if he does end up helping, I'll be surprised if he lives.
I personally want him to help, just because :
a) He needs to die at this point sigh. Every character in this game dies evenrually. Besides, we already got a character arc for him. Sure, I'll take an arc where he helps, but at that point, I think when that arc is over, it's just better off to kill him honestly.
b) The snark!! Oh my god the snark. Any time we as the player don't move or go AFK, I expect him to berate us. Any time we take too long, I expect him to call us stupid ( and then continue to offer no help whatsoever ). Any time we're having some sort of happy moment, I want him to ruin it with the most party-pooper comment ever. I want him to absolutely roast every single enemy we end up fighting after they're already dead. He has so much potential to be an asshole, an absolute menace to society, and I really hope he uses it.
c) Voicelines with the Prototype. Please. Prototype mentioning how he's supposed to be working for him and Harley going "yeah so I decided you're a bitch, get fucked". Every ally of the Prototype that's left gets absolutely ruined by him. Maybe he even tries to advocate for us as the player and turn some of said allies against him ( though I doubt that might happen ).
Slightly unrelated, but I really wish Lilly Lovebraids didn't die. She was literally the only character in chapter five that I liked and she could've lived to get destroyed by Harley too. Harley being like "wow, your former self would be laughing at you right now" or smth and Lilly just lifting a middle finger or something. I've seen so much art of them being assholes to one another and I love it.
Anyway yeah. Long rant. I don't simp for Harley but I can agree that he's cool. Hit post
they say distance makes the heart grow fonder, don't they? a quaint little saying, tossed around like a comforting blanket. but did that apply to everything? did it apply to the gaping chasm that had opened up between you and satoru? the truth was, some wounds festered, no matter how far you ran. they burrowed deeper, fueled by the silence and the gnawing what-ifs.
the further you got from satoru, the more a bitter resentment bloomed in your chest, choking out the softer memories. you hated him for letting you slip through his fingers like grains of sand, for not fighting harder, for not deeming you worthy of the effort.
you hated that he had the priorities that he did, that his grand ambitions eclipsed everything else, and even more, that you weren't even a footnote in those ambitions. you hated, with a burning, all-consuming passion, that he didn't choose you.
you'd always known, deep down, that he was destined for greatness. with a name as striking as his, how could he not be? he knew it too, you were sure of it. he carried himself with that quiet confidence, that almost arrogant grace. and you, you were just… you.
satoru wasn't a serious person. it was his defining trait, the mask he wore to navigate the world. most people saw the easy smiles, the quick wit, the constant stream of humorless jokes. they saw the shield, but no one, not even you, dared to peek behind it.
you knew there was something there, a quiet storm raging beneath the surface, but it was a line you never crossed. didn't even touch it. he didn't want you to, anyway. he’d deflect with another joke, another grin, and the moment would pass, leaving you both a little more hollow.
because, then, he'd have to talk about it. he'd have to peel back the layers and expose the vulnerability he so desperately guarded. satoru wasn't sure he could muster that, not for anyone, not even for you, the one person who saw glimpses of the real him. the thought of confronting his own demons seemed to terrify him more than anything else.
and it didn't help, not even a little, that everything you did, everything you saw, everything you touched, smelt, tasted, heard – it all screamed satoru. the world was a cruel collage of memories, each one a tiny shard of glass piercing your heart.
there were so many movies you'd never be able to watch again. the rom-com where you'd both laughed until your sides hurt, the tearjerker where he’d subtly dabbed at his eyes while pretending he wasn't crying, the cheesy action flick you’d both secretly loved. all of them tainted now, the joy replaced with a dull ache. old memories, bitter, definitely not sweet.
songs, too. the radio was a minefield, each familiar melody a fresh wave of grief. you couldn't even have chocolate, his favorite, without a pang of longing. the old mugs, the ones you’d bought together, were banished to the back of the cabinet, too painful to use. and his side of the bed… your bed, now, only yours.
it was always cold at night, a stark reminder of his absence. you weren't used to sleeping alone. maybe, by now, you should have been. it's been so long, hasn't it? time should have healed these wounds, but they just kept bleeding.
there was a bakery just a few streets down. it used to be your favorite little secret, a place you’d stumbled upon and then shared with satoru. the two of you went all the time after that, drawn by the warm aroma of freshly baked bread and the promise of quiet companionship. you don't go anymore. shame, really. they had the most amazing croissants, flaky and buttery, just the way he liked them.
distance makes the heart grow fonder, they say. but it's just not the same for you. it's just… different. it's a dull ache, a constant longing. then again, maybe that's the reason you want to be in his arms again, despite everything. maybe the pain is just a twisted form of love, a desperate yearning for the warmth that once filled the void. maybe, just maybe, distance makes the heart grow fonder, but only if there's still a heart left to feel.
Day 12: Rivals
It feels weird doing this after episode 17, but I am.
Are they considered rivals actually? They we're in the season 1 finale but I'm not sure if Taco even really crossed OJ's mind after that. I mean, I've already done the drawing and I like to draw them so oh well :^
I also hate myself for giggling at this for as much as I did
So while I know it sounds a little counterintuitive on the surface, one of the reasons I'm really hoping VnC goes down the Vanitas/Noé path is that, out of all the routes the romantic plot could take, VaNoé is by far the most interesting outcome for Dominique.
It's been made pretty clear that Noé is going to end up with a crush on somebody in the long run, and the beginnings of that foundation have been in place since all the way back in chapter 12. And of course, given how Domi has very strong feelings for Noé, whoever Noé ends up pursuing is going to have a huge impact on her as well.
Personally, I'm just not very interested in the stories we'd get out of Noé having feelings for Jeanne or Dominique.
When you've finally written and posted a new Interview With The Vampire fanfic after months, and are now re-writing an old Good Omens fanfic cause you are back into Good Omens and like your old idea but hate how you've written it...
And you're getting really into writing it but it's 2:55 in the morning and you have a shift at work tomorrow and have to get up just after 7am...
