typically  it doesn’t bother kohl too much!

the more invested he is in someone or something,  the more attention he naturally pays to it.  in conversations, granted he isn’t the one talking or the centerpiece of it, his eyes are usually on whoever is speaking. reflecting back in them a sweet and genuine sense of  acknowledgement.

but when it comes to things he  doesn’t  want to admit, topics too deep, or accusations thrown at him,  the first thing he does is look away.  not out of guilt, but fear that something other than the sunny, careless summer day disposition he exudes will show a little too clearly in his eyes. he’s easy to admit fault, and gentle when sweeping away things too close to his invisible boundaries, after all.  it’s being seen,  as anything  other  than what he wants to be that gets him.
