VERSE OF THE DAY:
1 TIMOTHY 4:12
Don't let anyone think of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
BE THE EXMAPLE
Have you ever felt too young or too old to do something important? Too small for a big job? Too inexperienced to contribute something meaningful? Too underqualified to make a real difference?
In the book of 1 Timothy, which is a God-inspired letter from Paul to his "son in the faith", Timothy, Paul equips and encourages Timothy in things like doctrine, leadership, and living out the ways of God.
If you've ever felt too old, remember that God has purposefully put you here, at this specific time in history. He desires to use your passion, drive, vision, energy, and ideas to magnify His glory. You see things from a unique vantage point, and that is a great thing.
You are never too young or too old, to be used by God.
No matter your age, God has empowered you to love Him and to love others, and to live a life that points people to Him. How can you do that? You can set an example-in the way you talk, in the way you act, in the way you love, in the way you live out your faith and in your purity.
You can be the example.
You can represent Him.
SHARE YOUR FAITH
You are never too young or too old to be used by God!
Don't hesitate when God moves you to make a change, have a conversation, or help a friend!
PRAYER
God, use me to be an example for You. I want to magnify Your glory wherever I go, Thank You for choosing me, no matter my age or ability. I am not too broken or messed up for You to use me. Empower me as I seek to love, lead, and live like You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Take some time to breathe deeply. Clear your mind and prepare your heart to focus on what matters most.
1 PETER 3:15
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
Breathe in deeply and if you're able to open up your hands and place them in front of you. Think of 1-3 things Jesus has done for you, and thank Him for that, imagine giving your praise to God.
PSALMS 105:4
Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.
In what ways do you need God to show up today?
Talk to God about what you need, and try adding those things to your Prayer List
God, Thank You for proving that nothing is impossible for You. There is no sickness You cannot heal, no disease You cannot cure, no heart You cannot hold, and no darkness You cannot drive out. You are above all things, and it is by You all things are held together. So right now, I give You thanks for all that You've done, and for who You are. You alone are holy! in Jesus' name, Amen.
What do you need to continue to process today?
Stay in this space for as long as you need.
DAILY BIBLE READING:
GENESIS 27-28
MATTHEW 8:18-34
JACOB STEALS ESAU'S BLESSING
JACOB FLEES TO PADDAN-ARAM
JACOB'S DREAM AT BETHEL
At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said, “I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. 14Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions—to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. 15What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”
The next morning Jacob got up very early. He took the stone he had rested his head against, and he set it upright as a memorial pillar. Then he poured olive oil over it. 19He named that place Bethel (which means “house of God”), although it was previously called Luz.
And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me.”
THE COST OF FOLLOWING JESUS
, “Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.
JESUS CALMS THE STORM
Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!”
JESUS HEALS TWO DEMON-POSSESSED MEN
the region of the Gadarenes, The herdsmen fled to the nearby town, telling everyone what happened to the demon-possessed men. 34Then the entire town came out to meet Jesus, but they begged him to go away and leave them alone.
NUMBERS 11:1-2, 4-11
THE PEOPLE COMPLAIN TO MOSES
Then the people screamed to Moses for help, and when he prayed to the Lord, the fire stopped. 3After that, the area was known as Taberah (which means “the place of burning”), because fire from the Lord had burned among them there.
10Moses heard all the families standing in the doorways of their tents whining, and the Lord became extremely angry. Moses was also very aggravated.
MOSES CHOOSES SEVENTY LEADERS
hen the Lord said to Moses, “Gather before me seventy men who are recognized as elders and leaders of Israel. Bring them to the Tabernacle to stand there with you. 17I will come down and talk to you there. I will take some of the Spirit that is upon you, and I will put the Spirit upon them also. They will bear the burden of the people along with you, so you will not have to carry it alone.
THE LORD SENDS QUAIL
But while they were gorging themselves on the meat—while it was still in their mouths—the anger of the Lord blazed against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague. 34So that place was called Kibroth-hattaavah (which means “graves of gluttony”) because there they buried the people who had craved meat from Egypt.
INSIGHT
God provided physical nourishment for the wilderness travelers in the form of manna, but their unthankful attitudes made their dining experience distasteful (Numbers 11:6).
John 6 describes the spiritual nourishment that Jesus provides: “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty” (v. 35). The response to this amazing offer? “At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, ‘I am the bread that came down from heaven’ ” (v. 41). These examples illustrate the failure to be grateful for God’s provision of both our physical and spiritual needs. As we reflect on all that He’s provided, we can respond with a grateful heart.

THANK GOD FOR HIS GIFTS
The elderly man was taking a long time looking at the children’s backpacks in the store. He told me, “It’s my granddaughter’s birthday. I hope she likes my gift.” At the checkout, he clutched a pink backpack with a cartoon character design. He looked excited.
Later in a restaurant, I saw him again with a little girl and her parents. When the child opened her gift, she said, “I don’t like this character! And I hate pink!” Her parents made her apologize, but she still complained. My heart broke for her grandpa.
I was reminded of how I sometimes respond to God’s gifts. I complain because I want something different, failing to see the miracle before me—that God Himself has lovingly given something for me. The Israelites behaved similarly. God had kept His promise to them: “I will rain down bread from heaven for you” (Exodus 16:4). God’s faithful provision in the wilderness was sure: “When the dew settled on the camp at night, the manna also came down” (Numbers 11:9).
But instead of being thankful, the Israelites complained about God’s expression of loving provision: “We never see anything but this manna!” (v. 6). Instead of humbly requesting other food from God, they wailed over His gift.
I still remember the hurt look in the grandfather’s eyes that day. It made me think of how our heavenly Father must feel when we complain. Let’s be grateful for the gifts He’s given us.

REFLECT AND PRAY
What blessings have you complained about? How can you thank God for them?
Dear Father, please forgive me for the times I’ve complained. in Jesus' name, Amen.
RESTORED: WHEN WHO YOU ARE STARTS TO SLIP AWAY
WHEN YOU NO LONGER FEEL CLOSE TO GOD
There’s a quiet kind of grief that doesn’t always get named.
It’s the ache of no longer feeling close to God.
Maybe the Word doesn’t hit like it used to.
Maybe worship feels performative.
Maybe prayer is hard because the silence feels like rejection.
Maybe you’re quietly afraid you’ve disappointed God beyond repair.
Sometimes the deepest losses in our spiritual life aren’t loud.
They creep in subtly under the weight of heartbreak, shame, fatigue, or disappointment in God Himself. And then one day, you whisper to yourself:
“How did I get this far from the One I love most?”
Even King David felt this disconnection:
“How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?”
— Psalm 13:1–2 (NIV)
David, the one after God’s own heart wasn’t immune to spiritual silence. And neither are you. So let me say this plainly: There will be quiet seasons. But don’t confuse God’s stillness with His absence.
The enemy would love to weaponize silence.
If he can’t get you to walk away from God, he’ll work overtime to make you question whether God has walked away from you.
And that’s where the grief becomes dangerous because it’s subtle. It doesn’t scream, but it simmers. And if we’re not careful, it starts to whisper:
“You’ve gone too far.”
“God is disappointed in you.”
“You’re no longer useful.”
“You should know better by now.”
“Why pray when nothing changes?”
But beloved, listen:
Silence is not proof of abandonment.
Sometimes it’s the atmosphere where God does His deepest work.
There are two kinds of quiet seasons:
The kind God uses to prepare you: to mature, refine, and deepen your dependence on Him.
The kind the enemy weaponizes: to disconnect you, discourage you, and distort God’s love in your mind.
Learn to discern the difference. And if you’ve been stuck in the second kind for too long, today is a beautiful day to begin again.
Don’t just grieve the distance.
Rebuild the connection.
Don’t just name the disconnection.
Reclaim what’s yours.
Sacred Step
If you feel far from God and you're ready to return, right here, right now, don’t overthink it. Pray this recommitment aloud:
God, I’ve lost my way. I let life get louder than Your voice. But today, I want to come home. I believe You love me. I believe You sent Jesus for me. And I believe Your grace is enough to cover me. Today, I recommit my life to You. Lead me forward. Heal what’s broken. Awaken what’s been dormant. And help me walk in the purpose You’ve always had for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer—welcome home.
And for the rest of us, let’s close this journey with a collective prayer of revival:
And then pray this aloud:
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You that You are still the Restorer of our souls.
You’re not scared of our silence.
You’re not intimidated by our questions.
You’re still calling us back. Today we silence every lying voice that told us we lost Your love. We break every agreement we made with shame, fear, disappointment, and spiritual apathy. And we prophesy revival over every woman reading this: Let her heart beat again.
Let her soul worship again.
Let her mouth pray again.
Let her feet walk boldly in her assignment again. Break off every chain.
Undo every knot. Let the fire of intimacy and obedience burn fresh. You are not finished with her.
You’re just getting started.
And for every loss she thought was permanent— show her You are the God who restores. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
PSALMS 13:1-2
1O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever?
How long will you look the other way?
2How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul,
with sorrow in my heart every day?
How long will my enemy have the upper hand?
MALACHI 3:7
7Ever since the days of your ancestors, you have scorned my decrees and failed to obey them. Now return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
“But you ask, ‘How can we return when we have never gone away?’
PSALMS 34:18
18The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
PSALMS 51:10
10Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me.
