what we know : a summary UPDATED 8/5/25

my original LT3 post was getting super long since it stated all the way back in 2022, so here’s a version 2.0 covering just what we've learned in 2025 :

Jan 28th 2025 Louis tweets “Had a good break, looking forward to getting back to it. [..] Excited about the next few months of writing as well. Big year incoming!”

Feb 4th 2025 on the podcast The Champ & Contender songwriter David Sneddon, who worked with Louis on multiple tracks on Faith In The Future, mentions that they're currently working on LT3 !! “There’s a song on [Louis'] last record.. we’re in the middle of doing his new one..” 👀

Mar 6th 2025 at his show at Electric Brixton Louis tells the audience: “Let me bring you up to speed on what I’ve been doing for the last six months, [..] Yeah, I’ve spent the last couple of months writing the next record.”

Mar 25th 2025 Louis posts an instagram story from a studio, Real World Studios in Bath. two days later (27/3) producer and songwriter Nico Rebscher - who worked with Louis on Faith In The Future - posts four stories also from Real World, one soundtracked w. Out Of My System. same day Matt Vines also posts an instagram story that may or may not be from Real World Studios..

Apr 3rd 2025 Louis does a twitter Q&A and answers a bunch of question about his next album; "it's cooking", the vibes are "sunny" with a sprinkle of "chaos" and "high in california vibes". there aren't any collabs on the album "yet"..

Apr 16th 2025 songwriter Robert Harvey who co-wrote four tracks on Faith In The Future has signed a publishing deal with BMG - and the press release mentions that he is currently writing with Louis!

May 2025 Louis is in Costa Rica, working at Elstudio in Santa Teresa with songwriters Nico Rebscher, David Sneddon and Theo Hutchcraft.

May 5th 2025 3 new songs - ’Sunflowers’, ’You Don’t Know Me’ and ’Lazy’ - are registered to ASCAP and SACEM with credit to Louis and his fellow songwriters

May 7th 2025 Louis tweets “Still in the middle of the process but can’t fucking wait for you all to hear this next record! [..] This album is going to be my best yet. I can feel it!”. He also replies to a bunch of tweets about the album, answering that if the record was a flavour it would be “lemonade”. He also said that he’s written “At a guess like 30 maybe more” songs and that he “Definitely feel(s) more confident about the approach” [to making the album] and that he’s “feeling really ambitious”. On the question of whether the album has a name he answered “Not yet but got a few ideas”. (all his replies about the album are here)
