On the night of September 7, the enemy launched a combined strike on the territory of Ukraine using attack UAVs and ground-based missiles.
In total, during the strike, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 823 airborne attack vehicles:
- 810 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of simulator drones from the directions of kursk, bryansk, millerovo, orel, shatalovo, primorsko-akhtarsk - ruzzian pederation, Hvardiyske, Chauda - TOT of Crimea;
- 9 Iskander-K cruise missiles from kursk region - ruzzian pederation;
- 4 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the TOT of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09.30, the air defense shot down/suppressed 751 air targets:
- 747 enemy Shahed-type UAVs and various types of imitator drones;
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles.
There were 9 missiles and 54 attack UAVs hit at 33 locations, and the downed aircraft (wreckage) fell at 8 locations.
