So people are freaking out because Carol is planting a garden at The Kingdom at the end of 07.13? They see it as proof that Carol is going to stay at The Kingdom and that she and Ezekiel are going to hook up?

Uhm... nope????!!!

Didn’t Ezekiel once said to Carol that everybody at The Kingdom contributes to their society?

To actually quote him: “As Morgan is aware, I encourage those who find respite here to enjoy the fruits of our grandeur for as long as they like, so long as they contribute. Drink from the well, replenish the well once you've healed, of course.”

So.... Carol wants Ezekiel to fight against the Saviours and thus to contribute to TF’s safety, right? Well, then I think seeing her planting a garden is her way of contributing to the Kingdom, to pay it forward if only in a small way.

As Hannibal Lecter taught us, life is all about quid pro quo.
