Went to go see the fireworks in DC on the Department of the Interior lawn, since I won free tickets in some raffle drawing I entered a few months ago for myself and three guests--Mason, Jen, and Wei. Lots of bugs. Lots of food and snacks. Lots of fireworks.
Given myself plenty of distractions today, but I can't get over how I had counted down the days for today only to end up wanting it to just be over with. Never thought I'd be doing anything other than finally seeing what you looked like in there. I know the days ahead will be easier than today but I'll always remember and love you with my whole heart.
