The Fae Court, Part 2

Welllpp I told Prince that I’d go with him to court again this weekend, so I did. Here’s my notes from the visit:

So I meet Prince in the hearth, where we usually meet. He was actually already waiting for me in one of the chairs; usually I get there first. Anyways, I asked if we were going to the Court and he agreed. We went to the other side of the room and looked in a mirror to get my outfit right. The mirror kind of shimmered and I did a weird thing with it. Anyways, I made my outfit dark green with a cloak, and the whole thing had like glowing green highlights/accents. Strix and Trixie came in and brushed it up and finished it for me. I looked pretty good, ngl

Anyways, I follow Prince into the court. I get into the door, and this time the court location feels more like it's in a tropical jungle sauna?? Like a forest in Vietnam, with waterfalls flowing down into small pools, where people can relax. Everything is shaded from the sun from the big leaves. Etc. This whole scene has the image of the court superimposed over it; kind of like an in-between place. I also noted that it wasn't as populated as the last time that I came here, not as many entities.

So I get there, and Prince is already in the court, sitting on his throne. I look over at him nervously and he nods and gestures for me to come over. I approach the herald, and he turns to me and asked me how I would like to be introduced. I think about it for a little while, then I tell him "Zhu, friend of the fae and the forest." He introduces me and I walk up and join Prince.

So I have 4 major interactions with the fae as we are in the court today:

The first is a tall, slender, very attractive female (again genders are different with the fae, but she appeared female) fae. She approached with a couple of people behind her… She interrogated me for a little while, which was interesting… just asked me a bunch of questions, like all of the other fae… then she told me to look at her. I've been looking down at the ground whenever I'm addressed, as I was told. But she told me to look at her. I did, and I took in all of her features. It's so hard to explain… She almost seemed like elvish… but her face had like magical properties to her?? Her hair was like brown but shimmering, and it was long and intricately stylized and fell down on either side of her face. I took all this in, and she smiled and said something, which I can't remember. But it was interesting. As she left, Prince turned to me and told me that she has some considerable sway in the court, and that she is very manipulative, and to be wary.

Second, I sensed a group of pixies approaching. Prince turned to me and said that while technically pixies aren't higher fae, they have some nobility that participates in the Court. They approach, and it is a pixie female that glows a bright white with pink hues.

She greets Prince, and then me. "You must be Zhu… you're a human, correct?" "Yes, that is correct." "Interesting. I've heard much from St and Tr about you" "Good things, I hope." She chuckles "Well. I've heard many interesting things about the human world. So odd, seeing a human here. I couldn't catch the exact words that she said towards the end of the interaction, but I could tell it was kind of another back-handed comment about humans, I think about how the Fae Realm can be a dangerous place for humans, and she grinned as she flew off.

Third, there was a tall, big male fae that approached Prince for some advice. He had a more business-like air to him. I actually zoned out for a little bit as they talked, trying to regain my focus.

"Perhaps your friend, Zhu can offer some advice."

"Certainly. Zhu?"

They turn to me.

"I'd be happy to offer my advice; I apologize, I had a hard time translating your conversation, would you mind telling me again?"

"Absolutely." He goes into talking about how his land has been difficult lately, the energy has been off and something about the animals. I actually tuned into his energy for a bit to try and get a better glance at the situation intuitively, and I did. Actually, I think as I was doing it, there were like physical manifestations as I did it… like as I was getting a feel for his energy, there was like a swirling energy around him that everyone could see?? Super weird. Anyways, I came to the conclusion that it's actually been raining here IRL for about 3 weeks straight now, and that that was what was causing his issues. I think that there must be some dampness (energetic dampness) that is seeping in, which is unfortunate. But I told him that he could wait until it stops raining, which should be soon, and it should resolve itself.

He seemed impressed and grateful, and he thanked me and then left.

Last fae… a tall noble fae man, dressed in slim, showy garments… he approached…

"Your highness… and, of course, Zhu, our "fae friend" nice to meet you… you are a human, correct?"

"I nod, yes, I am. And it is an honor to meet you."

"interesting…" he turns to Prince… "Is he really a human?" Prince nods. " Hm, quite interesting. We haven't had a human here in… well, a very long time. Is he a good one?" Prince smiles and nods "Hm, good, I sure hope so. You know how humans are. I'd hate for something to happen to him if it turns out he wasn't… well, I must be going. Ta ta"

By the time the last one left, I was just kind of reeling; it takes massive amounts of concentration to be there, not only because it's in the astral, but because there is just so much new things I’m seeing and interacting with, and it takes a lot of energy and concentration to see it clearly. Also, there are just a lot of entities around me, and I’m not used to it. Anyways, I was totally drained, so we left. I told Prince that I should be able to build up some stamina, and I'll be able to be there longer every time I visit.

But yeah! It went over really well, I'd say. Well, I mean I experienced a lot. But… I'm getting a lot of negative comments from the fae nobles… they really don't like humans… I'm going to have to be careful… Also, once I finished in the astral and came out of my trance, I had absolutely no idea how much time had passed, which I thought was kind of interesting lol.

But yeah! That was interesting. We’ll see what happens next time.
