The sound of knuckles rapping on glass makes my eyes flit upwards just to watch as Youngbae shuffles in.
"Jiyong, you want coffee?" He asks me, pointing towards a steaming cup in his hand.
"Coffee?" I murmur, more to myself than Youngbae, and then my mind is away again.
It is becoming a habit of mine for my mind to connect anything to do with coffee to her and it is honestly frustrating because no matter how hard I try I can't seem to look at a cup of coffee without feeling something warm in my chest, and that's before I've even drank it.
"Do you want me to...just leave you to it?" Youngbae asks me, but before I even really reply, he is edging back out of the door he just came through.
See, when you work in such close quarters with the same four men day in day out, it is important to know when someone needs space, otherwise we wouldn't have lasted this long and someone would more than probably have ended up killing the others.
And lord, we've been close before.
At the time, arguments can seem like the worst thing in the world. But looking back, I recall the memories of bickering in the dorm oddly fondly.

17th June
Your roommate breaks the silence by slamming her textbooks onto the table, "Guess who's single!" She gushes, scraping her chair backwards and sitting down.
You blink at her. You were half a world away, and now she is dragging you back to reality, "Huh?" You finally murmur.
"Guess."She grins at you, clapping her hands along her textbooks.
The thing about your roommate is that she is everything you aren't. She is not better, but she is different.
She lives her life likes it one big hurricane that she wasn't prepared for but at the same time, she's totally fine with it. She's totally fine taking each day, each moment, as it comes.
And you...you deliberate on everything.
Even things that don't need deliberating, like how many days it will be before you need to buy milk again, that sort of thing.
Inwardly, you smile; having said all this, it is a wonder that you are the one kissing famous boys while she sat at home.
"It's Leo!" Your roommate caves, just like you knew she would.
"Leo?" You eye her, confused, "Who?"
"Remember the hot waiter at my restaurant that you were totally bummed out about already having a girlfriend?"
Oh. That Leo. Leo is the sort of boy that you bring to a family dinner and your auntie pulls you aside just to let you know 'you did good, honey!'. Yeah, he really was that good looking.
"Aren't you happy?" She urges you on, grinning at you.
"Yeah..?"
"Good." Her grin widens and that look in her eye appears - the look that lets you know that she is planning something and that, you should probably be pretty scared right now, "Because I got him to give me his number for you."
There it is.
The thing you were scared about.
You

You arrive and order a coffee, impatient to have something warm coat your throat. But no more than than three seconds later after catching the waitress' attention, he is here.
You are so busy soaking in the way he moves into the place that you barely hear the waitress asking for your order.
Wrenching your eyes away from him, you give your order to the woman.
"Make it two." He comes to stand just next to your chair, "And we'll have them to go, please."
Rising from your seat, you find your legs have turned shaky again and you wonder if that feeling will lessen as time goes on.
"Evening." He gives you a small smile, then tilts his head to yours slightly so you can hear when he says quietly, "Follow when you get the coffees, okay?"
His car is the most conspicuous thing about him. Forget the violently fluorescent hair, the hand tattoos, all of it.
You could cover those up with a hat and a couple plasters. But there was no covering up a Lamborghini even if you tried; when you drove a car like this, people stood to attention.
When you slip into the car, that new car smell engulfs your senses again and for the first time tonight, you say to him, "Hi."
His tongue lashes out to lick at the corner of his mouth and then you watch him smile slowly as he starts the car.
"Hey." He says, and then he takes his shades off so he can look you in the eye, slipping them into the central console of the car.
You open and close your mouth a couple of times, not quite knowing what to say and deeming everything you do think off boring and dull. So instead, you just smile back.
"Busy day?" His eyes flicker over your features, "You look a little tired."
Arching an eyebrow, you say back, "Well we do meet at midnight."
It brings a laugh out of his throat, "Well I can take you home and you can sleep, if you want?"
"No." You bite back a grin, "Sleep is for the weak. I'll live."
And then you let go of a small smile, which makes him chuckle more.
He turns the heated seats on and it is soon so toasty that it is as if he has created summer, right here, in this car.
But when you look out of the window, it begins to rain. First, a slow lazy dribble and then not long after, a furious downfall.
You watch on as the streetlights and the headlights all mixed together until they are one big blur and you can't tell shop light from streetlight, headlight from trafficlight.
His house is bigger than you remember it, if this is even possible. And yet, somehow, it seems emptier too. You cannot decide whether, it is just that his house is so large that his belongings are spaced out across rooms, or infact, that he really has very little personal belongings at all.
All the while, he stands next to you, grimacing at your cup of coffee in his hand, "You should have drank this in the car," He remarks, "It's gone cold."
When his eyes flit back up to yours, he smiles a little, "It's okay, I'll make you another, or do you want wine or something?"
"I'll have what you're having." You murmur, your eyes dancing around the place.
"Go pick a room and I'll find you, okay?" He smiles at you, and then he is gone, off to the kitchen.
This time, you are smart enough to remember where the lounge is.
When he returns, drinks in hand, he finds you stood in the centre of the room, not knowing quite what to do with yourself.
He chuckles under his breath, "Call me crazy, but I swear sofas were for sitting on."
You had avoided drinking your coffee in his car because you didn't trust yourself to not spill it, but now, he is passing you red wine as you slip onto his cream leather sofa, and suddenly the idea of spilt coffee on a Lamborghini really didn't seem so bad.
As soon as you take a sip, you make a mental note to pace yourself, to drink slow, because you'd heard stories about your drunk self and you'd be damned if you let him meet her tonight.
You start upright and stiff, never letting your eyes waver from the wine incase you spilt it. But as the night draws on, you loosen up and you sit cross legged, splayed out, one leg over his and your stomach abuzz with that happy tipsy warmth.

Slightly intoxicated her is my new favourite version.
Touching her while she is in such a happy daze becomes no big deal; when my arm slings around her shoulders or my hand brushes hers, I don't see that immediate panic in her eyes, I don't see her freeze for a second.
Instead, she leans in to me.
She puts her head on my shoulder and it is easy.
It is finally easy.
For this moment, I feel normal.
It feels normal.
The room is filled with her childish laughter and late night cartoons on the television. For once, the room feels alive.
While I tell her stories and don't worry about what I'm saying, she plays with my fingers and she hums and she taps her leg on mine in time to her humming. It is the most natural she's been with me as of yet and she doesn't even realize it.
She is like a big kid. She belly laughs at my jokes and she plays with the corners of my shirt.
And in the moment, I quietly wish I will see this side of her more, even without alcohol.

Your laughter dies down when he ducks his head down to kiss you.
His lips flutter across yours, but you put your hands to his neck to keep him there, pressing your lips to his harder.
When you do, you feel his smirk on your lips and it makes you chuckle into the kiss.
As soon as you feel his tongue lick across your lip, you melt in his arms and suddenly, it is as if you can't get enough of him fast enough.
You let your hands go to his hair and he pulls at your waist until you are seated in his lap. What would have been slow, deliberated moves become quick, impulse actions and his hands run up and down your sides.
Eventually, his hands rest on either side of your breasts and it frustrates you greatly. Why won't he touch me? Is all you can think.
In your irritated state, you move against him, your fingers taking to the buttons of his shirt.
But as soon as you have the first one unfastened, he breaks the kiss by asking you, "You...You want a drink?" His voice is hoarse as he gently pushes you off his knee so he can head out of the room and to the kitchen again.
And you are left there, dazed and confused and what's more, the most physically frustrated you can ever remember being.

Giving house tours had never been my forte. They were mostly embarrassing; it felt like showing off.But when she asked, I gave in.
While I show her around the rooms she hasn't seen, I mostly watch her. It has been a long time since new eyes had been in this place.I leave my favourite until last: my wardrobe.
And her reaction does not disappoint.
You
His wardrobe is less of a wardrobe and more of a long hallway which ran around the entire perimeter of the house; it is really something. What confused you was that the clothing didn't seem to be organized in any particular fashion.
As if reading your mind, he explains, "They're separated by clothing line. Apart from accessories and jewelry and stuff which is..." He waves his arm around the wall of glass drawers behind him, "here."
You reach out for a drawers handle, but stop yourself, hovering your hand just a few centimetres from it, "Can I...?"
He nods, "Go ahead."You open the drawer to find a collection of necklaces and the next drawer is full of earrings, the next is bracelets, then rings, and so on and so forth until the drawers had exhausted every form of accessory imaginable.
When your time comes to an end and you have to go home, he tells you to take a coat from his wardrobe so you won't be cold.
You refuse, but he insists.
"You like HBA, right?" He asks you.
"Uh huh..." You murmur.
He nods, "I think there's some HBA in there."
He has the whole new collection.
He has the whole new collection from HBA.
It all looks so perfect, you feel guilty even touching the clothes.
Eventually, you settle for a black HBA coat with a simple design and you slip it on.
When you get home, the house is warm but you keep the coat on for ten minutes longer.
Although it has never been worn by him so it doesn't carry his scent, the material smells like his home and you allow yourself to breathe it in for a while before you take it off, hang it up and head to bed.
