It’s October! 🍁🎃👻🍂🥳

Callie is staying close these days. She’s almost always either perched on my shoulder or sitting next to me while I work. She’ll bop around the house, chase Casper around, grab a snack, but then back she comes to hang out with me. I’m gonna miss this whenever office life resumes.

I’m 23+1 today, and apparently the bean is as big as a furby? Creepy comparison. I think we’ll stick with grapefruit. 😆 Apparently week 23 is also the beginning of month six, which is nuts. I can’t believe it. Someone on a conference call asked me (while it was just she and I, thank goodness) to get up so she could see my belly. So funny. The bump is growing for sure, but it never seems as big in the mirror as it feels on my body.

Doing well again today with getting my fruits and veggies in.. breakfast this morning was eggs and an English muffin with some clementines and lunch, which is sitting in my lap right now, is a salad: romaine, chicken breast, bell pepper, carrot, cucumber, croutons, cheddar, and Italian dressing.

Tomorrow is fridayyyyy thank goodness. Husband has been pulling long hours lately and I’m hoping he has the whole weekend off. He wants to do some hunting, and it’ll be nice to just hang out and relax together.

Back to my conference call, for now..

i'm so happy these plants are getting better! the blue flowers were gone and the little pods were all brown and dried up at one point. i've been diligent about checking the soil moisture and making sure it's in a better location for sun, and now look at it! and the celosias (cone shaped friends) were drooping and sad, but their color is coming back and the leaves are reaching out for sunlight. my flower friends! if i can take care of these better maybe i'll have the confidence to plant a rose bush.

Some random food photos from the past two days.. I’ve been doing well with getting fruits and veggies in with meals. Definitely pleased about that.

Have you ever made tacos using wonton wrappers as the shells and baking them in little cupcake tins? It’s been months since I’ve made them and I almost forgot how delicious they are. The wonton wrappers come out nice and crunchy and they hold their shape.. perfect for plenty of toppings. Plus, they make a ton, so leftovers are definitely happening.

Yesterday I intended to have toast with pb, banana and cinnamon as a snack, and then got stuck on work calls and before I knew it it was 3:30pm and I had not eaten that salad I had intended to have for lunch. Ah well, I’ll have it today. Although if I’m being perfectly honest I could also go for a burger. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️
