I really like how quick Spanner was to betray the Millefiore. He was like, the second my interest is caught by literally anything else that provides a window of opportunity, I'll just go ahead and defect. He didn't give a single shit about the danger behind it, and held equal amounts of loyalty and fear towards Byakuran: zero.

Which is great!!! Because all of Byakuran's favorite people (Shoichi, Yuni) are people who DESPERATELY WANT TO GET AWAY FROM HIM, EVEN AT THE COST OF THEIR LIVES.
