Dear Grandma,

She stayed with us one hundred years

Although, too short a time for us, I fear.

A century to some, a lifetime to others, but a blink of an eye to God our Father.

Who is to say, she was "taken" away

If heaven is the goal, she need not stay.

She knew her life was lived to the full

So she gave in prayer,as if prayers were jewels.

All who knew her, knew her strength

In spades it was present as if comparable to her faith.

The stories she told us, never to be forgotten. We will carry them forward, like good sons and daughters.

Her will was strong, her morals so pure

Instilled in all, but especially her two boys and one girl.

Don't fret now, sweet woman of grace

Your steadfast love, as beautiful as crocheted lace.

Look down fondly on what you have created It was his time now, your heart had been sated.

We will miss you faithfully fervent, mother of three.

But oh what a legacy you left us, strong roots in this blessed family tree.
