If the ticket prices were $38, I would completely agree that people are being pussies for complaining about the prices. But I looked at EVERY venue they’re doing on the North American tour and couldn’t find a single one prices at $38. Not one. In fact, the CHEAPEST one was priced at $78, $50 more than the price listed by the previous confessor. And sorry, but I call bullshit on this “It’s so expensive to tour in the U.S. if you’re from Europe! They HAVE to charge $178 for general admission if they want to make money!” That’s fucking ridiculous. Out of all the concerts I’ve seen, NOBODY has tried to charge that much for tickets. Bands from Europe come here ALL. THE. TIME. And not once have I seen an artist try to charge $178 for general fucking admission. Iron Maiden came here a few times (a EUROPEAN band who is 100x more successful than Nightwish) and had tickets that were half the price. Lacuna Coil (ANOTHER European band) came to the EXACT SAME VENUE that Nightwish is playing at for the Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock tour and charged $40 for tickets. See, it has nothing to do with the cost of the venue, or whether or not they’re from Europe, or how famous they are in the States, it’s simply a matter of them caring enough to make their seat prices reasonable. I don’t care how rich or poor you are, a rip-off is a rip-off. We as fans should feel offended that they are trying to take advantage of us like this, but instead, once again, you blindly defend them because IT’S NIGHTWISH.
