Some folks might have been with me for so long that they remember a time when getting quite a few thousand views was actually fairly common for me - back when YouTube recommendation and search was a whole different beast than it is now. I have never been a "big" YouTuber, but I have always greatly appreciated the ones that do come around to watch.
