you know how all works of creation always have an underliying political stance to them bc the people creating the things are part of a country and thus politically involved even if they don't realize it. and how the narrative is nearly always echoing the culture, even in Fiction. sometimes I think about how tfc didn't go with the expected American narrative and how I love it for it. I have slept 3 hours and it's entirely my opinion and i can be wrong BUT YA I NEEDED TO SHARE.

hi! happy new year? I just saw your post about sending SO MANY CARDS for the new year (im assuming) AND I JUST HAVE TO ASK... how do you even... afford it... like heck i send around 10 cards every year because i can't afford more... what's your secret..!! aside from that the cards looked adorable i hope everyone who receives one will be happy!

Aaw man, there’s no secret tbh. It’s just…Very Expensive.

Part of the reason I limit cards is the cost… I’ve sent about 120 cards each year for the last couple years. That comes out to approx 300 AUD just in postage stamps, plus other costs and like…two straight days of writing and drawing to get through them all.

Presented like that, it seems crazy (it is) but it’s now a longstanding personal tradition and I think it’s nice (and maybe important? to me) to reach out to real people across the virtual landscape with something undeniably solid!  Also I just really like sending mail so that helps. I always know Holiday Card Time is coming so I set aside money for it.

It’s likely that at some point I won’t be able to do it, or not on the same scale anyway. Postage costs will keep increasing and I won’t always have spare cash. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it… >_>

EDIT: I really like doing it though!! No one should…feel bad or anything!!!!! I am an adult who can choose to do stuff!!
