One of the reasons I love Rose is because I can relate to her. At the start of the series she is 4 years older than me, but we face some of the same struggles. Not sure what we want to do with our lives, not sure if we can really do anything important, etc. Same goes for Martha and Donna. No matter how ordinary these woman were, they still achieve greatness. I prefer them over Amy, Clara, and River because I can relate. I wasn't born with a time crack in my wall, there aren't multiple versions of myself lying around (that I know of,) and I'm not a timelady.
