EPITAPH 11.1.21
Today my notes show that I did my 131st reading... but that's like... that only includes the readings that I've done when formally opening up my readings. There's no way to know for certain, but I think if I estimate the other readings I've given outside of them, I've done about 150 readings...
Which is just. Crazy, INSANE to think about. If someone told me 6 years ago that not only would I be capable of doing readings, but that in November of 2021 I'd have done ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY OF THEM I straight up wouldn't believe you...
Wow... I've grown so much... since I did my first ever reading... everything is so different now... my process, my gifts, the spirits around me, my energy, who I am...
What I'm trying to say is... thank you. For giving me the opportunity to do something amazing. And thank you for all of the support that you have given me over the years, and for your interest and encouragement. I truly would not be where I am in my Path now if it wasn't for you. For all of you. Thank you ❤
I hope that everyone has a wonderful night!
Blessings!
It fucks with me so hard that some people will just refuse to pirate anime. Like it won’t even be legally available to them but they want to watch it and they just, don’t do anything about it, they just sit there and mope and lament about how they really want to watch it. Then just go fucking watch it illegally! It’s not like the creators are losing your money or anything - it’s not legally available to you! If you want to watch it you should fucking watch it and in fact if you enjoy it then you’ll get to tell people you watched and enjoyed it, and people that can legally watch it will do so! In that regard it’s actually better to watch it illegally yourself since you can get people who can financially support the show to do so! Stop not watching anime you want to watch just because of some fuckin holier-than-thou “oh I can’t watch something if it’s not on Crunchyroll, Funimation, Netflix, VRV, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or any of the other dozen streaming services I need to pay for if I want to watch all these shows”
Here are some cute shots from the OP
I forgot to say last week but I fucking hate this girl’s design, she looks like shit and doesn’t fit in with literally any other character
Conversely this fuckin cutie’s already my favourite and I can’t wait to meet her
And here are some cute Teios from throughout the episode
And hey pretty Suzuka! You can tell she’s in America because of her bedding
Love the aesthetic of horse girls just vibing in cafes for our ED
And lastly here’s our midcard, her forehead looks a bit big
Anyway, Uma Musume s2ep2 was pretty fun! I’m glad they just get straight into what’s specifically the problem with Teio’s leg and then rather than have her be all “oh I’ll race even if it kills me”, we do some far more mature “alright well what rehab can we do to improve my chances of being able to participate so long as the doctor gives it the okay?”. Sorta just tones down the potential melodrama or characters acting stupid so we can have a solid emotional core instead. Plus the way that emotional core turns into this role reversal where Trainer is more determined to get Teio to participate than she herself is in the end, that was really sweet. Also, I love that everyone who actually participates in the race treats it as though they’re still racing Teio! The actual mindset I’d expect someone to have in that situation is “thank god I don’t have to compete against someone who’d definitely beat me, this is gonna be easier now”, but instead they’re acting as if Teio’s still there and still their rival they really want to beat, they’re just as frustrated as she is that she can’t compete but they’re sure as fuck gonna try to beat her anyway. It’s just very sweet and extremely poggers sportsmanship from all of them. Loved it.
Oh this is a good way to open the episode
And hey the character that’s predictably my favourite character based on design alone is my favourite character, what a shocker
Anyway Urasekai Picnic episode 2 was, meh tbh. Bit slow, didn’t really care about Sorao’s “I would rather be alone but also I’m being cucked” arc, and the fight with the thing whose name I forgot was really underwhelming, even if I like that mechanically Sorao and Toriko have to cooperate. Like that’s fun on paper but this fight just wasn’t really interesting in any way and visually felt really underwhelming too.
Boys I think this might just be a weak adaptation because everything seems like it should be great but the execution has just been pretty poor on most fronts that aren’t music or voice acting. I’m still gonna finish it but it’s been pretty disappointing so far. Might tell myself I’ll read the source material and then inevitably never get around to doing that.
