"Snowy Day Insights"

It's been the perfect day for watching old movies ("GiGi", "Easy Living", and "Mr. Skiffington"). I think "Mr. Skiffington" may have been my favorite for the day- between Bette Davis' performance and the line "A woman is never more beautiful than when she is loved", what's not to love?!? On top of that, two insights I gathered: (1.) Looks/physical appearance only last for a short duration, so matters of the heart should not be dictated by them. It's something that we've all heard ("looks aren't everything"), but we live in a world where they are considered WAY too relevant. (2.) Youthful decisions are usually irreversible, so make them carefully, considering the future. Sometimes, exactly what you are looking for is the same thing that you are running from. Going Home 11.15.18

100 days ago I arrived in New York, on my way to residential treatment.

Today, I leave Boston, done with PHP and steady enough to return to IOP at home.

I am scared as shit of this step-down, but I am ready. I am independently planning and portioning my meals and snacks, consistently following my meal plan, and expanding variety daily. I am still struggling, but I have moved moutains.

I have dug into trauma and challenged so many negative beliefs.

I have challenged myself in so many ways, and I'm excited to include my family, friends, and home treatment team in the next part of my journey.

Side note... I googled "days since August 7" and legitimately has been exactly 100 days and that's just crazy. That means it's been 101 days since I've seen my brother or my dad!! (bc they didn't wake up at 4am to say goodbye).

I'm so nervous, but I'm so ready.
