okay so i watched the first episode of the uncanny counter.
i originally wasn’t sure about it, as the cast is literally all new to ocn dramas and aren’t usually cast in those types of shows, but it was actually soooo good. i mean, the concept originally jumped out to me because it kind of reminds me of black (still the most complicated drama of all time but i loved it), but like a much more light hearted version. still, all one has to say is grim reapers and i’m immediately interested dksks.
also i’m already vibing to the found family dynamics!! nothing like a crew of misfits (with matching afterlife doors on their hands and curly hair ddksdlks) who team up together to form a little oddball family. mun and his friends are also very wholesome (and they actually feel like real high schoolers, which is weird and nice).
the plot is interesting, and manages to be funny while also showing a darker side - which i expected nothing less than ocn. i can tell it’s going to be fun and intense (one of the best combos), and i’m looking forward to it.
how to tell you’re in a @you-are-my-neverland novel

there’s a pair of twins there (bonus points if they are the main characters)
lengthy filler prose goes on for pages and pages
there’s probably some religious imagery or themes. bonus points if there is a made up god or one character especially has a complicated relationship with their religion.
fantasy with ambiguous worldbuilding
random mystery or murder element
unusual platonic relationships that sometimes border on unhealthy (bonus points if there is perceived inherent homoeroticism)
sibling dynamics (bonus points if there is startling codependency)
found family as well! you can never go wrong with found family
ill fated soulmates (wrong place, wrong time esque)
large ensemble cast, except every character is secretly also the main character rip
influence from other media (shakespearian themes comes to mind, but literally every wip has come from me wanting to do something like [piece of media] but not [piece of media])
coming of age or new adult - either way, the characters usually struggle with past trauma and there is a sense of regret/nostalgia (best to describe this as emerging adulthood i guess?)
+ many more.
The Chain
Pulling Cags up by his chain from between your legs after he's given you a mind-blowing orgasm to give him a sloppy kiss

Çağlar’s name was a breathy two syllables on your lips as his tongue laved over your slick core. The sounds he made between your legs mixed with the breathy whimpers from your mouth and filled the room. Çağlar had always been skilled with his mouth, but this was on a whole other level. You couldn’t figure out where to put your hands, finally settling on one hand clutching the bed sheets as the other tangled in his hair. You bucked your hips when Çağlar sucked on your clit and he laughed as he pinned your hips down with his arm so he could continue without distractions.
“Nefis,” he mumbled between your legs, piercing your pussy with his tongue. Yummy.
All you could do was moan and arch your back as he gave you a mindblowing orgasm. He looked up at you, a gleam in his eyes as they met yours. He licked his lips, smirking at your flushed face.
“Fuck, that was so hot,” you murmured as your fingers wrapped around his chain. The cool metal of the ‘4’ bumped against your clit and you let out a low whine at the sensations it elicited. The slow grin that spread over his lips was Cheshire-cat-like and he was soon covering your body with his.
You tasted yourself on his lips, moaning as you tangled your tongue with his. Çağlar’s hands slid up your body, trailing goosebumps in their wake. You hooked your legs around his waist, pulling him flush against you. His cock swelled to life between your legs and it wasn’t long before he was balls-deep inside you, giving you another mindblowing orgasm - this time with his cock.

Spending The Night
Could I request one where you stay the night for the first time and you are feeling a little awkward not knowing what to do and what you can and can’t touch

You were nervous, the butterflies in your stomach fluttering around as you slipped Çağlar’s home jersey over your body. It smelled like him and you couldn’t help the small smile that crossed your lips as you inhaled his scent.
“Ready for bed?” He asked, returning from the bathroom with his grey sweatpants hanging low on his hips.
“Mmhmm,” you nodded, standing on your tiptoes so you could wind your arms around his neck. His hands were on your lower back and slid down lower to cup your ass as he leaned down for a kiss.
Everything was going great until the two of you climbed into bed and Çağlar turned off the lights. You laid in bed next to him, feeling his body heat radiate off him, nervous again. Your fingertips itched to touch him but you weren’t sure what he was comfortable with.
You shifted in bed, turning on your side so your back was to him. Your mind raced and you weren’t sure you’d be able to sleep with him so close to you.
Çağlar cleared his throat, the loud noise making you jump in the previously-deafening silence. “Did I do something wrong?” He asked, and your heart lurched at the worry in his voice.
“N-No,” You stuttered, closing your eyes in hopes to hide your humiliation even though you were in the dark and your back was still to him. “Sorry, I, uh, it’s just-” you cut yourself off, laughing as you rolled over onto your back. “Wow,” you said, running a hand over your face, “I just didn’t know how to act tonight.”
“What do you mean?” Çağlar asked, clearly confused.
“I don’t know - it seems so stupid now anyway.”
Çağlar turned on his side briefly, one of his warm hands reaching out to grab your hip and pull you against him. You let out a little gasp, your hand instinctively finding his bicep. “It’s not stupid,” he murmured, his thumb rubbing little circles into your hip.
“I didn’t know whether I should touch you or sleep on the opposite side but you’re so warm and-”
“Tatlı cadı, you can touch me whenever you want.”
You could hear the smile in his voice, your stomach dipping at the sound. You repeated the nickname, butchering the sounds which made him giggle. “What does it mean?”
“Sweet witch,” he replied, turning onto his back and taking you with him so you were pressed against his side. “Which is exactly how I see you.”
“Sweet witch,” you repeated, smiling at the nickname. “I like that.”
“Good, ‘cause I like you.”
You felt yourself blush even in the dark and you worked up the courage to press a kiss to his chest. “I like you, too, Tatlı cadı.”
Çağlar laughed, shaking his head. “The nickname doesn’t work both ways.”
“Guess you’ll just have to give me one to give you,” you suggested, kissing his jaw.
“Give you one to…” Çağlar trailed off, confused. “Maybe later.”
As if on cue, you yawned, starting to get tired. “Yes, please, later. Right now I wanna go to bed.”
“Me, too,” Çağlar agreed, holding you tighter. “Good night, Tatlı cadı.”
“Good night, Çağlar.”
FaceTime
Pretending to fall asleep on FaceTime to watch Cags's reaction
Word Count: 448
- - -
The moment Çağlar’s FaceTime notification came up on your phone, your stomach dipped. Even though the two of you had been dating for six months, he never failed to elicit butterflies whenever you got to see him - virtually or in-person.
“Hey,” you said when the video finally connected, smiling wide.
“Merhaba,” he greeted in Turkish, knowing what his native language did to you. He smiled when he saw you blush, turning his focus back to something on tv. “How was your day?”
“Not bad,” you replied, mulling over the events of your day. “Nothing as exciting as yours. How was training?”
“Good.” His focus was on the game tape in front of him, but you didn’t mind. “Just trying to figure out my strategy for this weekend’s match.”
You watched his jaw work as he studied the match before him. He mumbled in Turkish, occasionally pausing the tape to write things down. You had an idea as you watched him focus; he seemed lost in the match, barely even noticing that you were there. You didn’t particularly mind - the two of you often spent your evenings together doing separate things together - but tonight you actually missed the comfort of having him physically next to you, as he was in Portugal for the latest Europa matchup. A TikTok you’d seen recently came to mind and soon you were recording your screen while you pretended to fall asleep. You angled your phone so you could still see through your closed eyes while it looked like you were fast asleep.
Çağlar murmured something Turkish again, this time ending it with his nickname for you. When you didn’t respond, he looked over at you. You kept your face even, trying hard not to let a smile grace your lips at the surprised look on his face. Through your eyelashes, you could see him pick up the remote for the tv in his hotel and pause the match, turning his full attention to you. “Seni çok seviyorum. Sen benim bütün dünyamsın tatlı cadı,” he said, the love clearly written on his face.
“What did you just say?” You asked, blowing your cover as you swiped at the tears that gathered at your eyes. The pure love and devotion in his gaze had shaken you to your core and, while you’d understood him perfectly, you still wanted to hear him say it.
“I love you so much. You’re my whole world, sweet witch.”
Your breath hitched at his words and inflection. “You...love me?”
Çağlar nodded, a goofy grin on his face. “Tabikide.” Of course.
“I love you, too, Çağlar,” you whispered, blowing him a kiss through the screen. “See you in a week.”

It was the perfect day. You couldn’t have asked for better weather in Istanbul and you’d woken up so carefree and relaxed - especially with Çağlar playing a huge part in relaxing you. It was mid-afternoon and the sun was shining; the voices of his family floating up to the room you were sharing with him. He’d asked you to join him and you were getting ready, picking out the perfect outfit to go meet him downstairs.
“You look amazing,” he murmured, leaning over to give you a light kiss on your lips as a thank you for the beer you’d just handed to him.
“Thanks,” you replied, taking a seat next to him on the porch steps and looping your arm through one of his, resting your head on his shoulder. You looked out at the scene before you: Çağlar’s parents were talking with a few of his aunts and uncles; his two younger brothers playing around with various cousins.
The dog barked, prancing around the garden as it chased around some of the younger kids. Çağlar called out its name and the came running over. You giggled when Çağlar let out a groan as the dog rushed into him. He spoke to the dog in soft Turkish, aggressively petting its fluffy fur.
“Merhaba, Aslan,” you cooed, scratching the top of the dog’s head. Hello, Aslan. The dog turned to you with its tongue sticking out and a goofy grin on its face. “Çok tatlısın.” You’re so pretty.
“He loves you,” Çağlar said, looking over at you.
“And I love him,” you sighed, emphasizing your point by pulling the fluffy dog into your arms. “Right, Aslan?”
The dog gave your face a lick as though it knew what you were saying and you laughed. Seconds later, one of Çağlar’s brothers called it over and it was wiggling out of your arms and scampering away.
Çağlar maneuvered you so you were sitting on the step below him between his legs, resting his chin on the top of your head. “Today is perfect,” he whispered, entwining your fingers with his as he kissed the back of your hand.
“It really is,” you agreed, looking up at him with a grin on your face as he leaned down to kiss you.
