I have been attempting to draw him as King Arthur for waaaay too long. And although this is not the work I had in my mind, at least it’s something. I started this particular attempt last year, but I only just now felt it was “finished” enough to share. (Perhaps I will make one with a background more inspired by the musical poster, with texture like vellum and like an illuminated manuscript)
I once offered a longer caption and explanation on this already, so I will keep it brief now⚔️ : Romano-brit scale armor and pteruges, Excalibur based on Joyeuse, even tho the latter is later lol (both had beast heads on the guard), a B or B1 pommel to reminisce of a spatha, inscribed fuller with the supposed inscription “SVME ME ABICE ME”, a coat of arms inspired by both the Kennedy one (three helms) and Arthurian one (three crowns), red and deep blue also inspired on Romans, a shield with a Virgin icon, like on JFOliveras’ art of Arthur, jewels based on the Sutton Hoo ones, etc. ✨ the Sutton jewels gotta be my fav artifacts—they are soooo amazing and magical. // ik the shield needs studs for the strap hold underneath, but I have spend too much time on this already (years) 😭

I see him as King Arthur, despite his code name being Lancer.
There’s a concept in my wattpad drafts of a medieval AU inspired by this… 🤭🫣
