i’ve felt compelled by this ship for months and i feel i must expose others eyes to the age gap yaoi that lays before us

when we are 15 years apart and i’m training you for when i leave so you may now take up the mantle

— Ever since Quinton joined the Kings there has been a type of pressure on his shoulder. He was drafted 2nd overall, and he was thrusted into the NHL after being in the OHL

— With this, Kopi began spending time with him. below is a photo of Quinton’s first practice as a King. Immediately, Kopi placed himself at Quinton’s side

— As time progressed Quinton moved around the lines. He was placed on the top line along with Kopi, working as his Right Wing. This happened for a bit, up until Quinton fractured his ankle in a preseason game. When he came back to the Kings he continued moving up and down the lines, but it seemed as though Kopi helping him remained a constant

— In an interview Quinton remarked how Kopi had invited him (and some younger players) in 2023 to Thanksgiving (Luka Dončić was there as well, since both him and Kopi are Slovenian)

— Their relationship started growing fast. In every interview I have come across one is mentioned to the other, whether it be a question from the interviewer or brought up out of their own volition.

— Quinton has nothing but the best things to say about Kopi. Here Quinton is playfully poking the older man after a goal, making Kopi smile

— Around the beginning of the 2024 season Quinton was moved to Center, which was great for him (he trained and was developed as a center). With this move Quinton become the 2C while Kopi remained the 1C. This pushed them even further together. Quinton has mentioned how much help Kopi is and how the older man teaches him

— It is well known that Quinton will be taking the 1C spot after Kopi’s retirement this year. So essentially, Kopi is preparing Quinton to take his spot. (mentor/mentee)

— Below is a moment where Kopi scored the OT goal against the Oilers in game 2 of the playoffs. The initial pass came from Quinton, he deflected it towards Kopi. This gave Kopi the momentum and space to score. When Kopi does his celly, the first person he hugs is Quinton. Quinton leaps up into his arms, practically tackling him

— They aren’t really on the ice together, not unless it’s for the powerplay or during line changes. But when it happens it is beautiful. They always seem to find each other in goal celebrations. Always one tucking themselves under the arm of the other. Here Quinton does that, he goes to Kopi and finds his spot in his arms

— They ALWAYS search each other out during these hugs.

— Their comfortability has gotten to the point where they can be silly with each other. They crack their little jokes and poke fun

— There was even a time during the NHL Faceoff episode with them (and Sidney Crosby) where Kopi tried to make light of a situation, a situation where Quinton was clearly sad about their game 4 loss to the other and his failure to chip out the puck (ssshh it’s okay). He got Quinton to laugh and smile

— Also, the Kings normally post some postgame locker room photo that has some of the players in it along with the MVP of the game (the person wearing the helmet or hat). Quinton is normally shirtless in them, and when Kopi is in the photo he once again is plastered to the older man’s side!

— Look at him stick out his tongue!

— And not to mention how Quinton got drunk at a wedding and immediately unbuttoned his shirt and went to find Kopi. The “fellas” gets me

— One thing that constantly gets me about this ship is how their lives bleed together, how their lives touch each others and mesh together until you cannot differentiate it

— Below is a gathering of clips put into one video, depicting the ways they fit so seamlessly together

1.) Kopi being in awe of Quinton’s beautiful pass. Quinton tucks himself under Kopi’s arm in the hug

2.) Quinton having a scoring opportunity in the 2021 season. It is almost his first NHL goal. Afterwards, Cal Peterson points out how similar the movement was to Kopi’s first NHL goal. He uses the word “identical” and strains it. Another display of them circling around each other

3.) Quinton with a beautiful pass to Kopi. The older man can only say “wow” after scoring the goal

4.) After Quinton passed Kopi the puck and the older man was able to tuck it in. They plaster themselves side by side. Kopi holds onto Quinton and their faces are close, chatting to one another in the celly hug and not with everyone else. Quinton is all smiles and playfully hits Kopi’s chest

5.) Quinton asking Kopi for advice on how to win draws. This occurs when Quinton comes back from being out with his fractured ankle. Kopi shows him what he does and Quinton immediately replicates it on his next faceoff, effectively winning the puck

6.) Kopi with a neat pass to Quinton. As soon as Quinton scores they point to each other, shaking their hands in a “yes!” emotion. It shows a few angles of this. They embrace each other in a hug, Quinton fulling wrapping his arms around Kopi

7.) Quinton and Kopi review some play together, looking at a tablet. This is from opening night 10/08/2025. They both have commentary to give and Quinton apologizes for being off with timing and Kopi reassures him

8.) Kopi scores and Quinton hugs him from behind, his smile wide. Later, at the bench, Quinton compliments Kopi and Kopi gives some taps on his thigh. Kopi tells him they just needed a savior for the power play and how that was Quinton and Brownie (Dustin Brown). Quinton gives some bashful chuckles after that

— Their lives revolve so heavily around each other. In interviews with BarDown and Colby Armstrong Kopi is mentioned to Quinton. And with locker room interviews Quinton is mentioned ti Kopi, though he’ll often bring Quinton up if someone asks a question about the “guys” or a vauge question about players on the team

— The 1155 propaganda is everywhere for those who have eyes to see it. I love them dearly and I want to share them with everyone 🫶🏽
