This sounds so horrible but I often times feel terminally online for calling myself bi. My definition of bisexuality is that it's a spectrum and everyone who ever had attraction to both sexes is bi. Even if that attraction was like, once and not acted upon. Everything else is lesbophobic bullshit because it indicates that lesbians can be attracted to men. But like, literally no one outside of some online bubbles treats it that way and it always makes me the weirdo. I have never been with a man, I have no interest in men, I hate het romance media, I just want to be with women. My sexual awakening was exclusively ssa, I was heavily bullied for it. But I was attracted to a guy once. Quite brief, never acted upon it and then it just never happened again. I didnt have an issue with it, I also never had an issue with calling myself bi. But everyone around me just sees a woman who exclusively dates/fucks women since her teens and is very open and enthusiastic about her same sex attraction. I always correct people when they call me a lesbian and then they go "oh so you date(d) men as well?" and then I am like "no not really" lol. And a big portion of "lesbians" I meet had more sexual and romantic interactions with men than I ever had. There are a bunch of bi women running around calling themselves lesbians when they had several relationships with men. So they will be like "yea I am on the fence when it comes to dating bi women" the audacity lmao (for clarification: real lesbians saying this is completely fine). I honestly think that at every lesbian exclusive event at least half of them are bi. And that's a generous guess. But I am the idiot who never goes to those because I don't want intrude in lesbian spaces. And factually I know I am doing the right thing but I get treated like a weirdo for it. I am convinced that those other bi women are the weirdos but there are so many of them. And even online, like, every second video about some lesbian couple on youtube is just "and then after my third boyfriend I definitely had sex with I discovered that I was actually a lesbian when I met my future wife". I had a lesbian (convinced it was an actual one but who knows) tell me that I should not care so much and just call myself a lesbian and she said "most older lesbians were married to men before". I am dying on this hill that I am bi but I guess I am dying alone on it lmao. I like my radblr girlies who agree with me but it's strange out there in the real world

Seeing the way nurses treat my mother after she became immobilized is just about tipping me into misogyny.
