[03th of December 1982]
Narrator: Vonel was in his office, alone, after he analized the material he was given for the assignment, he was now thinking how to get at the checkpoint before 6am. He was curved on a peace of papers writing his plan with a “peaceful” face:
[23:02 ]
V: No, driving there won’t work, not with this night checks…
…
…
…unless… *the calculated something**
Unless I go now, keys first, last train, sleep in the way…
I have hight chances to get there on time.
Narrator: he took a peace of paper, drawing the simbol of the Ezic for later, folding it and put into the pocket, then walked outside the ministry, directed to the M.O.A ministry.
V: (thinking) I always thought it was ridiculous: spare keys to the inspector’s office kept all the way in the capital, hours from the checkpoint. What If you need them fast, what’s the point?
I thought more than once they should be kept in the same district. But tonight?
Tonight I’m almost grateful. If they actually were in Grestin, getting them maintaining a low profile, would’ve been near impossible.
Too many eyes, too many hands that could get there before me, pretending to be me, like it happened a few days ago, *he made a small smirk* that fool were handed the fake papers from my target. Here, I can take them directly before anyone else, no deliveries, no delays, no third parties.
But there’s another detail: the Military train to the checkpoint is the safest route I can hope for. If those damn keys were kept in the Altan district, I’d have been stuck on that exposed road between the office and the station.
No, this way is better.
Much better
Narrator: he arrived at the M.O.A. They’re were two guards protecting the main entrance
Guard: who are you, identify yourself!
V: *takes out his badge, showing it at them*
Guard: *takes his walkie talkie* sir, the agent is here *muffled voice from the other side* alright you are allowed to get inside
Narrator: not even the time to ask some one for directions that the special agent heard footsteps, faster ones.
Dimitri: you came earlier that experienced.
V: efficiency leaves no room for delays
Dimitri: hm, classic M.O.I answer. Follow me.
Narrator: after finishing the burocratical part, which seemed endless, going into the caveau after passing the security check, opening the metal door, and observing Dimitri taking the keys…
Dimitri:*handes him a copy of the keys*
V:*raises his hand to take them*
Dimitri: *closes his hand, pointing at him with his index finger* Don’t. Lose them.
V:i won’t sir.

[ 00:09]
Narrator: finally he was outside the ministry of admission, instantly going to the train station, it wasn’t that far. When he arrived at 00:13, and, after showing the permit to get on board, the train started moving at 00:15.
At 5:15 am he arrived, and walked to the East Grestin checkpoint, he didn’t need any map, unfortunately he knew the place too well.
And then: he saw it: the inspector’s booth, he began to walk down the street then turning right.
[5:25 am]
Narrator: he unlocks the door, gets inside positioning himself over the wide platform, which also doubled as a scale, facing the closed grate waiting for the inspector to arrive. Meanwhile he’d recover from the whole journey and mentally cursing the inspector, Yaroslav in particular, from the very core of his heart, and himself for having accepted the assignment.
[6:00am]
The door from the inspector’s side was finally beeping unlocked, and the target entered. He took his time to prepare, making space on his desk and hiding the two Ezic’s cipher sheets. And then-
Inspector: *opens the grate, he wasn’t expecting someone to be already there, so he got scared and instinctively screamed*
V: Good morning, inspector.
You are healthy today yes?
I have just few questions for you. *he looked him with his usual cold gaze while giving him his badge*
Narrator: the inspector’s face turned withe
V: There was problem at Metro last night. *he red that from the newspaper that was included in the documents he red*
Maybe you read about it in paper.
Is very big news.
We think it is not accident.
We think it is caused by suspicious group.
We think some members pass through this checkpoint.
So we come talk to you.
Have you seen anything like this? *he hands him the peace of papers with the Ezic logo*
Is some kind of symbol for group.
If you have any information, you give to us yes?
Inspector:…
V:Yes?
Inspector: yes
V: Very good.
Please return my badge and paper.
Inspector: *he hands back the badge and paper to the special investigator*
V:This group is very dangerous.
If you see any curious thing, report immediately. *then he leaves the booth*
