RWS Student Showcase
What
· This event was a Rhetoric and Writing Studies student showcase for students who volunteered to enter their end of semester projects. These different projects consisted of different types of project categories. Some of few being posters, websites, 3D projects, and brochures. Each project category could be voted on which was the best project. Not only were there different categories, but there were different topics in themselves. These different topics ranged from STEM, to how car emissions effect the air we as humans breathe.
So What
· I learned many things in attending this showcase. One thing I learned, was that if I ever want to enter a showcase, I know that I have to be very well organized. I think that getting to know these students through their research and through their work. One more thing that I would consider to liven this event would be to actually talk to the individuals who created these projects.
Now What
· Something that I can take away from this event is that I can and will use these projects as references as to how organized I will need to be in the future. This will not only help me form papers in my future RWS course, but for any other course that I have to write lengthy paper. Overall, I believe that throughout this showcase the main thing that I got out of it was how to create research on my major (kinesiology) either with diversity or any different types of genres within my major.
