"FUUUUUCK COOL ALIEN DESIGN!!!!!!!! The concept of a flying species that also use their wings to walk is so cool... NOT JUST THAT but they also have their own subcultures and subspecies and this polar avian is a Carnalist!! Might take too much words to explain what the bright magenta and orange mean but their blood's color is magenta when spilt and their flesh color is orange (which you usually see when you pluck their feathers.) not just that but- to avian clothing/fashion terms,.,. Having your neck exposed is. Hot. Foxy even. Avian clothing tends to be more conservative usually."

Trying to find a fic from AO3. May have been cross posted but I’m fairly sure I read it there.
It was an S2 AU and was Robins POV as she works with Steve at Scoops.
It’s background Steddie although I don’t think she realizes it at first. There snippets of his interactions with him and the kids and one scene where she notices he is wearing lip gloss.
Anyway the main thing is that she is having a major crisis because every so often she feels like she is attracted to Steve and it’s freaking her out and making her question everything and kinda hate him more for it.
The events of S2 happen and part of the bathroom confession is that Steve is genderfluid and some days he was a girl and others a boy.
The girl times line up to the random attraction and Robin is just so happy to find out she’s still gay that she doesn’t even blink at the gender thing.
