I can't let go to save my life
I've been thinking about these lines so much lately
To me, this is the one sign that Prill hasn't entirely forgotten about Prite. Because if you go back and listen to early Awry Ascent (Outset -> The Fence), then he references the shore of Windfall repeatedly. I believe he made a promise to return to Prite, and potentially stay, when he left on his hunt (before the start of the album), and broke that promise at the end of The Fence.
Now, it really feels like Prill has basically forgotten about Prite and Abalone by the time of Three Gods. He makes one reference to himself as the father figure, but other than that, he is rarely thinking outside of himself. So to see these lines, a clear reference to Prite, right at the end of Mudoo Ra and at the peak of his madness, is really interesting to me.
It really makes me think that Prill will return to Windfall, or see Prite again in some capacity, in the next album. He has found everything he set out to find - wealth and fame and glory - and I honestly don't know what his motivations are beyond that. If he does return though, I don't think it will be for good reasons. If anything, it will be to get rid of some nagging sense of guilt and doubt that breaking his promise left him with. I think if Prill is to find redemption, it's with Prite, but the more likely scenario is that he'll kill her, and it will be the final nail in the coffin for his soul. The end of Mudoo Ra is a dark, dark moment, but I think if he kills Prite, that will show that he is beyond any hope of redemption
