Its the taking of bastille day ! Happy 14th, citoyens/citoyennes !
Today was the day that the people, opressed for so many centuries, rose up and took the Bastille- more of a symbol of the king's aythority than an actual prison. This marked the start of a chaotic, bloody, but also of the utmost fascinationg period in history, The French Revolution ! 🇫🇷
