Aug 2001 We took a road trip to Tennessee for my Aunt Marion’s Ex boyfriends family reunion. I usually remember a lot but don’t remember the drive there at all; all I know is that we rode with my other Aunt Lane in her red impala & we left around 5am. When we got there we stayed for like a day; my cousin & I played Aaliyah’s Red album since my cousin got it the week before while we were in Florida (Aaliyah passed I believe the weekend after the Tennessee trip). On our way back to IL we stopped at Cracker Barrel & my cousin saw these fat stuffed cats which were $45 together. My Aunt Marion complained & told her that if she gets them for her she better take care of them. We named them Tracy & Teddy after my cousins mom “My Aunt” & her Husband since they reminded us of them lol. My cousin recently tried to give these cats to GoodWill but I had to give her the lecture my Aunt Marion gave her about these Stuffed cats & she said “well I’ll keep them then...” I have them now because certain things bring back memories & these stuffed cats need to stay in the family.

Hey guys, it's me Gussy! Unlike my dramatic brother Bernard I actually do have something wrong. I mean he truly could have won an Oscar tonight for his drama! Mama was not impressed... anyhoo back to me. Since, I am a shortstack, long bodied fella and also a tripawd it is really hard on my little back. I have been crying and anytime you try to touch me I scream. Mama knew something was really wrong because I am not like Bernie. 😂 I had an ultrasound just to make sure nothing was wrong internally. All looks good. My back is very painful and the pain was radiating around my tummy. So now it makes sense. My type of shape is prone to severe back problems but even worse since I am short one leg. All the stress is hard on my back. So they upped my pain meds and also gave me muscle relaxers to help with the pain. I will get rechecked in two weeks to see how I am doing. You can tell in my pic I am hurting normally my eyes are sparkling. Thank you for all the love today and I apologize for Bernie. He can't help himself. Mama has made it super easy for me around the house, I have ramps everywhere and not one single step but sometimes these things happen. Don't tell anyone but she is gonna let me sleep in bed with her, Bernie will be so mad. He's gonna be huffin' and puffin'! すっかり広々としてしまったリビング。 そこにコロリと、かご男子。 ・ 1ヶ月前まで、ここには我が家の老犬が横になっていました。 6月29日朝、愛犬は家族に見守られながら虹の橋へ走って行きました。 眠っているように意識がない時間が続き、１０回ほど呼吸が乱れたかと思うと、私が心臓に手を当てている間に。 ・ 「あれ？止まってる？」 ・ そんな風な、静かなお別れでした。 ・ 14年間のうち、一緒に暮らせたのは3年程。 私の就職や結婚、転勤や出産などで離れて暮らす時間が長かった分、最後の8ヶ月は言葉で言い表せないほど貴重な時間でした。 ・ 「愛犬が死にました」って投稿をするのにも、心が辛過ぎてこんなにもかかってしまいました。 まだ私の心は平常運転ではありません。 ・ 普段の生活に戻ったのか、それとも普段の生活ではなくなったのか、まだ分かりません。 ・ 今ごろ、どこで何をしているの？ って時々涙が出てしまいます。 ・ この先何をしたくて、何をしていくのか、何一つ決まっていませんが、私にはまだもう少し時間が必要みたいです。 ・ ・ ・ #愛犬との別れ #ゴールデンレトリバー #14歳 #虹の橋 #愛犬の死 #ありがとう #14yrsold #14yrswithyou #goldenretriever #goodbymydog

Ellie Bean is feeling so much better! She had a reaction last week from something outside. Her eyes were super swollen shut and weeping. The one side is tear stained but the swelling has gone down and no longer bothering her!
