Jk chooses Tae as his first teammate despite Jimin’s quick self-offer:

Jk brings Tae close by holding his arm while they laugh at the awkward situation:

Maknae line ends up losing:

Jk says he won’t team up with Tae ever again because they lost due to Tae’s mistakes:

Tae is so upset by Jk’s reaction that he develops a hate towards pools since he now associates them with Jk looking at him with disappointment. Tae feels bad because he is the hyung and Jk should respect him as an elder, no matter how competitive he is:

This shows Tae did place importance to the fact of being a hyung to Jk, which entails responsibilities of leading the other through the correct path, protecting him, etc. This fits with Tae being wary about accepting Jk’s serious advances.

This also shows Jk had bias towards Tae but was quite harsh on him - unlike later on.
