Can you elaborate George/Charles/Alex relationship from the royalty au?

The idea of writing a little prequel about their relationship has been in my head for a while. Initially the idea was to focus on Charles and George's omega/omega relationship and Alex's unrequited love for the prince. But recently I had a flash of inspiration and thought that maybe when I actually commit to writing this part I might as well focus on Charles and Alex, I thought they might have a good relationship but be almost ‘competing’ for George's attentions, even though they both know, for different reasons, that neither of them can actually have him. Lewis in this case is not yet in the picture but his presence already hovers as the search is on for an alpha for George

I imagine the relationship between Charles and George essentially as it is in the main plot of the fic, only they are younger and have less experience of the world having grown up within the castle walls. Charles occasionally dates some alphas but has never fallen in love with any of them while George knows he will be destined to marry someone chosen by his parents. However, this does not prevent them from developing an ✨intense✨ omega/omega relationship.

Alex is George's royal guard, an excellent soldier who is also gaining recognition on the battlefield. His parents are lords and long-time friends of the sovereigns so he too grows up in the court environment and hangs out with George and Charles from an early age. He has always been in love with George but has never said anything to him, knowing that despite being from a good family, the sovereigns are looking for at least a prince to marry their son, if not a king, no one of lesser rank could ever be worthy. So he gets busy in the field, learning how to fight, and in the process tries to keep his friendship with the two omegas alive, even as his jealousy towards Charles grows day by day. The other omega belongs to the same noble rank and is equally raised with the prince, so why does he get the chance to kiss him and sleep with him?

Charles is clearly well aware of his privilege and, although he is Alex's friend, he cannot help but feel competing with him and gloat. Neither of them can have the prince but Charles will still be one step ahead of him thanks to his secondary gender. Who knows when this alpha king who will marry George will ever arrive, in the meantime better to enjoy time with the prince while the guard is forced to stand behind the closed door. If he can't have at least he can see and touch
