The Amrican Civil War - Johnny Clem would survive the war, despite being captured and held prisoner by Confederate soldiers. He would even stay in the American Army after the war. When he left the service in 1915, he was a General and the last Civil War soldier still in the army. 1865.
Okay, so I used to be an American Civil War reenactor. (Thinking of getting back into it.)
But anyway, I wanted to share this with y'all.
Frikkin' hilarious! And yes, antics like this happen on a regular basis.
The Other Side

Humans that have passed on
Have only gone into a new realm
A new dimension
Invisible, seeing human eyes cry for them
At graveyards as they watch themselves
Being laid to rest
Only in flesh, in wooden coffins
The large blue house on Shaw Hill
It is haunted, people say
Families move in, the suddenly they move away
Not long does anyone stay
Stories told, creepy but true,
Of three spirits that dwell inside
They can appear and disappear with ease
Three confederate soldiers who died of battle wounds,
Young and alone
Over a hundred years, they've roamed
The rooms and halls of the home…
Summer Uniform and a Sea Bag of a Sailor of the US Navy worn and used during the American Civil War ( 1861-1865)
American Civil War - A powder monkey aboard the USS New Hampshire off Charleston, South Carolina. The picture is thought to have been taken some time between 1864 and 1865. Boys were employed on sailing warships to carry powder to the guns. The American Civil War, fought between 1861 and 1865, claimed 620,000 lives - nearly as many American casualties as every other war fought by the United States combined....!!
