Casting teams working for Simon have been approaching some up-and-coming artists on social media, a message that wasn't welcomed by one group. Liverpool-based band STONE's leading man Fin Power received a message from Cowell's staffers, posting the full approach on his social media, exposing the private details behind the project's strategy.
Taking to social media, Fin wrote: "I got this message from someone on behalf of Simon Cowell." It read, "Hello, Fin. I’m contacting you on behalf of Simon Cowell! We are working with him to scout singers around the age of 16-18 years old for a new boyband, which is being filmed as part of a potential televised documentary following him on his search.
"The company following Simon Cowell is BTBSC Series Ltd, trading as Box-to-Box Films. I’d like to provide you with further information about how you would like to audition for this, if you are interested." In a brutal response, Fin replied: "Tell Simon to go f--k himself."
The show's casting includes X Factor boot camp-style auditions in Newcastle from tomorrow before he heads to Liverpool, Dublin and London. Last week, Simon said he'll "drop dead" before he retires as he doesn't want to be in the same position as his dad.
They repete what he says that he will work until he drops dead and the Netflix conversations with his show and naming it Simon Cowell: Midas Touch, that I post it here (reported by Daily Mail).
I saw your tags about helene and cowbell and fuck any anon who's pressed about it bc your RIGHT !!
ALL former directioners/1D fans know what's up, and that cowbell is a piece of trash who overworked 1D and mentally and physically abused them !!! The EDs, the anxiety, the sleep paralysis, the alcoholism, the non allowed medical surgeries they were forced to work through, the throwing up back stage and still trusted back on stage. EVERYTHING it all stems back to cowbell and his shitty ass team. And helene was THERE and saw EVERYTHING so she knows what's up and still wants to support cowbell WHILE claiming to love and support louis/harry ect. F that!
If there is one thing I really hate it's hypocritical people who claim to care about louis/harry [and saw first hand what happened to them] but will gladly turn a blind eye to their caringness the minute they can get attention and or money from someone/something that brought louis/harry undeserving pain.
Hi Bria! I always look forward to read your perspective, thanks for sharing it with me.
Reading the things you mentioned about what the boys deal even if I know them still is heartbreaking to remember, honestly if we were going to start a list of all the horrible things that had made public of the damage Simon has caused not only to the boys but to the other artists it will take a while. Is horryfying thinking that is probably a glimpse of the full damaged Simon has caused over the years to different artists.
I understand in some degree that the anon wanted to defend Helene that not because of his association with Simon she is a horrible person and I don't think she is a bad person. But I still think working with Simon is something disappointing to see after all the years working close with the boys.
As I said in my tags I don't know how much Helene saw of what Simon did to the boys but she work with them during the 1D era and after so she is aware of some of the damaged and they also had talk about it after 1D so the information is there.
I agree with you, I don't think you can support Simon while also claim supporting the boys especially if they had made it clear their stands with Simon. I'm sure she still appreciates them and has love for them but I don't know just talking so positive about Simon and working with him and looking foward to work with new artists that maybe are unaware of how horrible Simon can be still feels off. Even if she is something positive in that show, she is still part of the problem not the solution.
Ultimetely this is really sad, Helene was such a supportive person of the boys and after 1D. I will always be thankful how much she help Louis and his confidence in his voice. I wish her well, I just see her different now. And I do wonder of how the boys will act in the future in regards to her.
I hope you have a great rest of your day. Thanks for sending your perspective.
Recap Simon Cowell on The Ray Foley podcast talking about 1D, his show and Harry calling him.
Simon did another interview, I wanted to share another recap/transcript in case anyone was interested.
TLDR: He said that he and 1D had the best time working together and he really missed it, he made a deal with the company that made Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Box to Box Films) and is going to a streamer plataform. He is doing promo so more people audition because he think is the best way to get in to the music business (even though he said he is not going to offer a record deal and he will own the name), he wants to invite Louis Walsh to the auditions, last but not least according to him Harry call him just to say hello.
Below is the more detail recap with a few quotes.
Simon was on The Ray Foley podcast, it was a zoom interview of almost 13 min [20.06.24].
-According to Simon because there hasn' t been a successful UK band or Irish band since 1D, so he thought about a year ago to do his show to create a new boyband. He thinks is the only way to do it.
-What he is looking for? The best example is One Direction. He thinks is the best boyband of all time. "There is something about each of them, they were all individually talented, collectively they were just brilliant, it was fun, talented and we had the best, best time working together and I really, really missed it and that is why I decided you know what? I'm gonna risk it and I'm just gonna do it."
-He then talk about his memories of the band. That when One Direction didn't win he was so unhappy and that the next day they come to the label and he said they are gonna sign them.
After he says "I think if we could find a group of people like that again, with those kind of records, I really, really think there is a massive opportunity here, I can just feel it".
About his show he comment:
- "I'm working with a company who made drive to survive"[Note: I check the production company was Box to Box Films, the program is Formula 1: Drive to survive, that is a documentary series of F1 that aires on Netflix]. He went to see them and he said he was gonna do this [boyband] "with or without cameras, do you think it would make a good documentary? And they went are you prepared to show everything?" He said yes, so they make a deal. "Is going to be a documentary for one of the big streamers."
- He is doing promo so more people audition because if it works it's worth it, is fun and "it's the best way on getting in to the music business, because right now they just aren't enough new people being sign for whatever reason, and that's depressing." [Important to remember that the band that is going to be created will not have a record deal, they will have to find it on their own and Simon is gonna own the name, see recap of that here].
-He said that the person that records a video and sharing on social media they are competing with so many people, so the odds are not in their favor, record labels are not watching their videos, they have a departament checking with algorithms, he believes that if you wanna find people he needs to met them and they need to met him. His advice for artists is always to start in a band because they will find their lane and they got a better shot. He used to do this 30 years ago, go month after month in auditions.
About Louis Walsh (X Factor judge)
The interviewer mentions that Louis has a boyband and Simon comment he will call him and drag him to be in the auditions and that they will always be friends. [Note that Louis said that he hadn't talk with Simon in years and Sharon Osbourne comment how Simon got rid of their contract they had for the new season of The X Factor for 2018, this when they add it Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field ].
-He talk about what happened with Westlife that Louis created and Simon rejected them, they change members and he sign them.
Harry calling Simon.
"It was very funny because Harry Styles call me the other day just to say hello, and that night I said [to his son] I was talking to Harry Styles the other day. Son: No you didn't. Simon: Yes I did, he call me. Son: Why he will call you? Simon: To say hello, people do that."
Let me know if you want me to record and upload audios of any of this parts. I can share them.

Forgotten someone? 'They are incredibly loyal': Simon Cowell brands Niall, Harry and Louis as 'amazing'
The Sun - 2 hours ago
SIMON Cowell has opened up about his continued relationship with the One Direction boys… but seemed to forget Liam Payne.
He said: “We’re in touch with them all. The great thing about all these boys – well not all of them but most of them – they are incredibly loyal and you don’t always expect that.
“Niall, Harry Louis – amazing.”
[The Sun is the source of the news about Doyen Global and Simon Oliveira.
The Mirror the only article that doesn’t smear Liam.]
Watching Louis on America’s Got Talent was difficult because, while he handled it well, he wasn’t able to present his best self. It was hard to watch Simon have the upper hand. I wanted to see Louis take control of the situation but that was an unrealistic expectation. The show was pre taped and edited. If it had been live, like last year’s X Factor Finale, my hope might have been realized.
I see anons annoyed with Louis’ continued participation saying they’ve had enough. You must do what is healthy and best for you. For those that stay, direct you frustration where it belongs. At the man who created this situation and not the band waiting for their freedom. Four young men who show great maturity meeting their contractual obligations. That takes great restraint and fortitude. Simon has provoked others into fighting back on his terms and they were unsuccessful.
This is a strategic battle that must be fought with planning and control.
