I have a habit of titling my photographs, so I hope you don’t mind me taking the liberty to do it as a part of the edit!
Pixlr desktop editor - several overlays simulating a sun washing out the upper left hand corner and an accompanying shading effect opposite it. I also made the dragon and the temple hypercolor pink as a nod to the sort of jarring, unabashed, and sometimes tacky architecture I saw in some of the quickly modernized portions of Asia in previous travels.

Edited in GIMP. Original passed through plasma filter, then merged with plasma image and tweaked to obtain a kind of psychedelic effect.

"1photo-1000pictures" - calendar week 24: THE END... for now
This project started in February 2014 and now ran for over a year - more or less every week. But now it's time to take a break for an indefinite amount of time. Pete and I as well as the project itself ran out of steam a little bit during the last weeks. The option to relaunch it is there, but there are currently no plans for that.
So this week we'll have the last exhibition of edits for a while. And it ends where it started: with one of my pictures.
We want to thank you all for your participation, both with providing pictures to edit as well as with submitting edits of other people's photos. This project couldn't have lasted that long without all of you!
Thank you for a wonderful time! Lani & Pete

Edited in Analog Efex Pro to create a “homey” type of atmosphere - sort of a miniature outdoor installation.
