k-music findings for ur playlist <3

if you’re looking for new kpop/any other kgenre, here’s a small list of songs & artists that i think deserve more attention, some are more known, others are more underrated so yeah

walk it out - 8turn

this group debuted in 2023, their song “tic tac” got some attention (deserved, its a bop), but this song i just love. also, the choreo vid??? its great, hope more people knew about them

down down down - you dayeon

this one is more kr&b, and she’s a very underrated soloist imo, i also like her latest ‘oh my’, that one is more kpop inclined, but for this post i landed on this song

soda - qwer

this is an all girl band (instrument playing band I mean, just in case), ofc this is a bubblegum pop, you could even say it sounds a bit like jpop for anyone who likes that sort of vibe

trampoline - billlie

i just love songs that have a jazzy feeling to it, and to me, this one really goes on that direction, jazzy/r&b ish sound, and their vocals at the outro are great really, it blends beautifully, just think this song should’ve had more attention

payday - wooah

chorus is so catchy imo, and as much as I enjoyed their other song ‘blush’ a much more hyperpop-ish vibe, this one is one of Mya ll time faves from this group in particular

yoyo - rescene

for this gg let me talk you, check out their whole discography, its tbh one of my favorites of all 5th gen kpop groups, songs like ‘pinball’, ‘mood’, ‘uhuh’, ‘deja vu’, overall loveee their concept and sound, but yoyo was LOOPED for a while

hot - 1tym

a classic 2000s khiphop track, so freakin catchy, if you’ve never heard it, please, its great fr, had it on repeat for a while

hero - akmu

more of chill, spring, even sort of indie cutesy pop sound, akmu’s vocals are always great, and this is such a cute track, love this one

Fila 1!- Yang hyun-suk(CEO da YG e ex taiji and boys), Merry(não achei nada sobre ela 🥲), Jinwoo e Seunghwan (do duo JINUSEAN), Baekkyung, Jinhwan, Danny e Teddy (1TYM)

Fila 2!-Na young, Yoo Eun, Mi hyun (teorizo que sejam o SWI.T por conta dos avateres mas os nomes não batem então podem ser provavelmente membros da staff), Wheesung (solista🙏🏻), Master woo(rapper afiliado), Se7en(solista), Lexy(Rapper Solo), Jiyoung e Youngbae(Membros do BIGBANG e hoje conhecidos como Taeyang e Gdragon)

teddy clearly had different backstage expectations.

the thing is he doesn’t see them individually or as people or whatever else solo-wise but rather their group potential, and to him babymonster deserved MORE.

behind the scenes, teddy had expressed he wanted to help with their management in which yge rejected his offer, so therefore teddy discreetly left yge to focus on tbl. (i’ve said it before on joinperch i think but wanted to point it out for clarity)

is he still bitter? complex to answer with the spread itself, but he sometimes thinks of them and overthinks “what if..”.

he doesn’t hate them but rather is sad for their group relevance (and eventually, solo one).
