We had a surprise snow yesterday. It came early, and it stuck... which it was not supposed to do. Overnight it turned to ice. Sadness.

We had a surprise snow yesterday. It came early, and it stuck... which it was not supposed to do. Overnight it turned to ice. Sadness.
This was unexpected. Snow was not to fall for another two days, and then it was not supposed to stick. And yet, here is Fort Featherly this morning.
The girls, eyeing their yard. Nope.
And this is it. As far as they wanted to go today. Prinny and Toad are sharing the “porch” with Figs and Pipaya, and all of the flock took turns coming out and tasting the white stuff on the stoop. They all elected to spend the day indoors, with food, unfrozen drink, and warm perches. Today’s high was just above freezing. I don’t blame them.
