Ashley asks Jack for Victoria to read from the prayer book and Robert doesn’t think she’ll be keen (‘too goody goody’). Robert and Brian break up Terry and Louise when he gets to full on with Louise leading to Terry’s arrest. As expected, Victoria isn’t thrilled about participating in the Christmas Eve activities (I’d be embarrassed’) but does it. The Christmas Eve procession then prayer reading in the new church take place. The lights go out throughout the village. Afterwards, talking with Victoria’s teacher, Mrs. Wall,Jack learns there is no Walter attending the school.
