2010 vs 2019

I know I jumped the gun lol. I should have gone further down at 2009. But I guess it’s because it’s Neji and he’s always been special to my maiden self back then. Who knows? I might do a redraw of a 2009 but for now it’s this guy.

Back then I was trying to emulate another artist’s style and seeing if I could pull it off (spoiler alert: noep). Wouldn’t say I was that bad back then (if not a tad cringey lol ugh the bg ugh). But looking back, I believe the idea was already on track then. 

I changed the focus to Neji instead of the moon at least. I loved how I did his hair back then but the current me asks that some things have to change.

The facial exp I had going on back then was “ Oh you found me out.”

This time, it was “ Don’t follow me.”

I’m glad I saw many artworks along the way. I’m glad I asked for help from friends and people who knew what they were doing. I’m glad I managed to learn things somehow despite being an old dog (or cat). Slowly but somehow surely.

I hope to learn many more things and hopefully, I can improve more, too.
