Gov. Chris Christie put his popularity, fund-raising clout and boasts of reining in government to work for his fellow Republicans in New Jersey’s legislative elections on Tuesday, but he came up empty, as Democrats added slightly to their hold on power.
[...]
In the two hardest-fought and most closely watched State Senate contests, Democrats wound up with surprisingly wide victory margins: Robert Gordon, an incumbent from Bergen County, fended off a challenge from John Driscoll, the chairman of the county’s Board of Freeholders; and Jim Whelan, an incumbent in Atlantic County, easily defeated Vince Polistina, a Republican assemblyman.
With 51% of precincts reporting, Beshear leads Republican state Senate President David Williams, by a margin of 58%-32%, and Beshear has been projected as the winner by the Associated Press.
Campaign For Liberty Successfully Fighting Back Against Red Light Cameras
Campaign For Liberty, or C4L has been heavily involved in the fights to remove unconstitutional red light cameras and photo radar devices from this country's streets and intersections.
It's hard to argue with their results when you consider that after just a few years of pushing back, so-called "photo enforcement" of traffic violations has been banned in 15 states and been voted on by citizens 18 times, including last week in Albuquerque. All 18 times, cameras have been voted down.
One of their state board of directors was interviewed last month by Liberty News Network at LPAC, a conference for Liberty Activists, in Reno, NV. Featured at the conference were speakers Rep. Ron Paul, Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Mike Lee, Rep. Justin Amash, Doug Wead, Bruce Fein, Columnist Jack Hunter and even actor Vince Vaughn.

Elections.
Let us raise our glasses!
Here's to finally having a Majority government that can finally pass bills and so we don't have to go into ANOTHER unwanted election next year.
Congrats also to the New Democratic Party that that become Official Opposition to the Conservatives. (Ha Ha Liberals. Just know it's because you had Ignatieff as your leader) Ignatieff made his speech and there was one part I remember. He said that Canadians were asking for a change and that he was proud that it was their party that helped spark the want for change but it was unfortunate that they didn't reap the benefits of that spark. No offence, no I lied I mean to offend, but the reason why you sparked change was because of the shoddy job the Liberal party was doing in government. So obviously you wont reap the benefits of us wanting change.
Sorry Bloque Quebecois for losing party status (not really sorry).
Let us keep our glasses raised and toast to the Conservatives. Congrats on winning the elections and even though I don't support you guys (NDP! NDP! NDP!) I hope you do a lot of good for Canada.
Cheers to cutting more spending on the health care industry! *cough*As if they haven't already cut down on funding last year*cough*. May we have even less doctors and nurses per patient in the hospitals, clinics, retirement homes and anywhere else that really needs them!
Now... I'm gonna go down my glass of vodka.
Cheers!
Somebody explain to me how proroguing Parliament twice, losing our UN security council seat and knowingly hiring a convicted criminal as an aide somehow equates to being handed a majority government?
I am at a complete loss for comprehension, let alone words.
