Impulse could have sworn skizz was just here. He wasn't the type to just bail! Wait- the brunette couldn't understand why thw forest around him looked foreign, all these weird trees.....he was just leaving for moonlight after all, tango was gonna.introduce him to this zed guy.

Was there an update? The dark tree he ended up chopping down was dark oak afterall...and it wasn't supposed to come out yet! So...impulse needed answers for sure.

Thankfully, he saw a huge structure in the distance ontop of a hill, and started towards it. He felt a bit tired too. It looked beautifully lit, even if he'd never seen brick pattern on stone before- eventually he was at what seemed to be the door, and impulse knocked.

Thankfully, a blonde man answered!

"Oh hey impulse! Have you come for more enchanting?"

Uh....impulse got a bewildered look.

"Hi! Uh- how do you know my name? Do I know you? What's an enchanting table...?"

Martyn looked like he was gonna laugh. "Good one Impulse! Come on now, let's go see boss so you can get your renchantin on!"

Impulse stood for a moment, and his eyes looked glassy, he looked confused and tired. Martyn felt something was wrong. Impulse wouldn't normally joke around like that-

"Im sorry, who's ren?"

Martyn looked back before looking to impulse. "Dude, are you feelin alright? You look a bit pale- let's get you inside."

Impulse nodded, and found himself easily distracted. Just staring at the crops- crops that looked foreign. Carrots were out already? What? Surely they were gonna come out in another year or two!

A tap on his shoulder and impulse jumped, only to see another man in plad with dog ears looking concerned. Blue eyes stared into his own.

"Hey dude, you alright? Martyn tells me you don't uh...remeber who he is."

Impulse nodded. "Yeah- I don't know who either of you are. I woke up in the forest and-" Impulse looked around at the different textured blocks. "What version is the server on? I'd swear they haven't released any new update!"

A hand landed on his shoulder, and impulse was drawn back to ren, trying to stay focused instead of distracted and whimsified.

"Uh impulse.....what year do you think it is?"

"Its 2012! Why?"

How do the others explain what's going on to Impulse? Do they even explain? I'd assume they do since things would flow more linearly but you never know

Impulse had felt like something was missing, ever since ren had....given him a rather weird look.

"I hate to tell ya dude but ah....it's 2021. Are you okay?"

Had he....missed 9 years? What??!? How do you even do that? He tried to think of what had happened, but it only inflicted a headache. He felt....overwhelmed. but then he was in a really warm hug, and impulse simply melted with exaushtion.

Ren was always cozy afterall.

"Its okay impulse, just take some deep breaths alright? It'll be okay, we're gonna figure this out. Just focus on my heart beat, and on those deep breaths."

Impulse nodded, and he gradually relaxed. "Alright....m okay....." of course, a yawn spilled from the redstoners lips, and he just stayed limp agaisnt ren. A chuckle came from the others chest, and with little effort he'd been picked up. (Although he did not notice ren had said something to Martyn and the other had simply vanished.)

It felt nice....familiar in a sense. It gave the hazy image of.....a campfire...? Impulse didn't linger on it, he was far too contempt to relax.

"You've had an exuahsting day man, let's get you to bed alright? And then tommorw we can get some answers."

Impulse yawned again, feeling as he was brought to bed, but kept to rens chest. He was warm! It felt Strangely safe for someone he'd just met, or, impulse supposed it was muscle memory. The ved was very plush, and impulse could have sworn it looked different, but he was too sleepy to care very much.

"Promise?"

Ren put his sunglasses on the nightstand behind him, and brought impulse closer, rubbing circles into his back.

"I promise."

Holy shit...how hilarious would that other 2012 timeline be after Endgame? Like all of the little Hydra goons in Shield fucking outting themselves on the regular to Steve when he's just walking down the hall? Actually at the first Heil Hydra Steve would probably lose his ever loving mind.
