Writing this sober during the Oscars is probably a terrible decision. (Note from the future: I started drinking.)

Alaina took the opportunity being held captive by the Oscars gave her and compiled her 2015 That's What She Read recap. She read 32 books last year, 18 of which were new-to-her. 2015

So, 2015 was literally a mental health year.  2014 started off ok but the end was basically a rocky transition into 2015.  I let myself go.  Put on about 20 lbs, Lost a lot of strength, both physically and mentally.   It felt like an abyss.  Worked through a divorce.  Started working again and had a lot less me time.  From may through october I had a 45-1hr commute, one way to work, was working so much that I had a hard time finding a way to eat right.  I ate a lot more junk and lost a lot of energy.   Tons of drama with my ex husband.   The divorce was finalized in october last year, and I moved closer to work.  I thought the drama would ease up, but he still kept trying to find ways to pick arguments with me and just tack on more stress.  He still is, but it’s much less effective. On the bright side, in the almost 9 months I’ve been at my job, I’ve seen 3 promotions, so that’s nice.   November- Jan was really rocky.  Less work, money was really tight but I made it work, so I’m patting myself on the back for that.    Now at mid feb, I feel my fire returning.   I’m getting active again and really trying to focus on my mental health. I know 2016 is going to be a year of adversity, but I have a lot more faith in myself to come out on top.   I’m going to be a lot stronger, come 2017
