i see people doing the 2016 throwbacks and like... i don’t think i’ve ever felt worse than i did in 2016. i’m fully serious when i say it’s a wonder i didn’t die. i was constantly burning inside, doing everything i could to numb myself. i look back at that time with a lot of regret and basically want to say sorry to everyone i met back then.

but at least i drew a lot. it's a cliché but i think that was what kept me going. i still use some of the stuff i drew back then when i talk about making comics as a way of venting strong emotions, or any emotion really. i miss doing short comics as often as i did back then, just blurting out whatever came to mind.

there are times when i feel like deleting all of my old work, as if it would delete the person i was back then. but i guess i had to be that person for a while. and i guess i drew some stuff that mattered to some people.

2016 throw back~

so many have been looking back at 2016 so it made me go and look back so here I chose some drawings to share.

this was the year I got my first cintiq and I still use it to this day! (I've been using intuos before that) I remember getting it and it changed my digital art so much, I'm not saying that you can't draw amazing on an intuos but for me it helped seeing what I'm drawing TAT I remember it changed my whole workflow and made me improve and try a lot of new things.

I was posting already at that time on tumblr and DeviantArt maybe even Instagram by then (I can't remember and I don't have the same account anymore). but I actually really love the art I did that year, I am tempted to redraw some drawings I did that how much I love them to this day ^^
