2017 summary

This was a pretty good year. I continued to explore more styles (mostly in the first few months of the year), and experimented with narrative as I planned. Obviously I could’ve done much more, especially in the latter half of the year where I didn’t draw nearly as much as I hoped. The three months of summer were pretty useless but maybe it was a necessary break. Also, I stumbled upon a style that people seem to like. I wasn’t as experimental as I was in 2016 but at least I’m really proud of some of the stuff I made this year, especially my two comics projects. Somehow drawing takes me even more time than it did last year, and I’m afraid that as I become more and more self conscious of my work it’ll become even worse.

Next year I wish to improve my efficiency and speed, and work hard on my drawing skills. Maybe this year I’ll finally go to a drawing class. We’ll see. Overall though, I’m pleased with my progress and hope that next year will be even better. Ben
