This took me so long to do and for no reason at all gyhrjds Anyways, MER AU? They still got their legs cuz I thought it’d be weird w/ out em and if they had legs it means I can still push them into the sewers and just have em doing their normal things loll!  This is probs gonna be nothing more than me just wanting to draw them with lil fish tails and a doodle or two so :)

Donnie is an evil genius waiting to happen and Splinter knows it.

Donnie feeling manipulated by Big Mama because she’s the first adult to praise him means that Splinter doesn’t praise him, but also: Splinter doesn’t manipulate him with praise. Donnie obviously needs praise and is willing to overlook signs he might be teaming up with a villain just based on the fact that they’ve complimented his intelligence. Surely Splinter can see how easy it would be to wrap Donnie around his finger by praising him. Instead, Splinter ribs him, praises his humor (calling him The Funny One), and jokingly respects Donnie’s anger. So yeah, maybe Splinter could afford to give a bit of praise to Donnie for his genius, but also maybe Splinter can see how that could push Donnie to the dark side.
