Spain is currently the second most-affected European country in the pandemic. The Spanish death toll has increased sharply, reaching close to 533 as a nation-wide lockdown continues, affecting millions of its residents.

Since the first confirmation on February 1, the Spanish COVID-19 cases got closer to 1,000 in the early hours of March 9 and rose to 11,800 on March 17.

だるい。吐きそう。無理もない。起きているのが不思議なくらいだ。どうにか正気を保とうと、壁にもたれて古着屋のInstagramを眺める。ミント色の花柄ジャケットに腕を通すまでは死ねない。

あなたはそれでいいと思っていたかもしれないし、さぞ気持ちよかっただろうけれど、そんなんじゃ世の中やっていけない。そう言われたような気がして頭が痛い。思い上がってんじゃないよ、と真後ろから蹴り飛ばされたような感覚。膝をついたまま、じっと地面を見つめる。どう言い返そうかと少し考えたけれど、どんな言葉もきっとここでは意味をなさない。あなたが正しくて、私は誤っているから。

甘えている。生温い。覚悟が足りない。ただのお遊び。結局のところ責任は他人がとるもので、自分の尻すら自分で拭けない。そう自覚していくうちに惨めな気持ちが強まっていった。夢を掲げるのすら愚かな気がした。
