If you followed this blog for a bit you might know I make music. Here I’ve compiled a group of spooky season/ fall inspired songs. Inspired by horrorcore, 20s/ 30s jazz, mid west emo, and twin peaks style synth, I hope whoever listens to this finds themselves in a cozy, spooky mood.

Also Spotify has this new feature that allows users to mix the playlists kind of like a dj with transitions and effects. I tried this and got… ok results, I’m a little inept at anything that isn’t playing or composing.

The Jazz Age 20's.

60 songs of my Itunes library are from an album called 'The Roaring 20's' which is a full album of jazz and ragtime songs from the 1920's. It's one of my favorite albums because I absolutely love the music from that era.  Some of my favorite songs however are the ones that feature some kind of special dance such as the Charleston.  Today, when I was listening to some of the songs on the album, I came across a gem called "Varsity Drag" that talked about a dance where you were 'down on your heels, up on your toes...' Having never seen this dance, I turned to the wonders of the internet and found this absolute gem of a number from the 1947 film "Good News" with June Allyson and Peter Lawford.  They don't make films like this anymore, but oh how I wish they would.  For your enjoyment...
