Here's a slice of a realistic lime I painted as a study for my upcoming fruit challenge. I really enjoy using complimentary colours to convey temperature, whether a sense of cold (fridge) in contrast to the warm light emanating from inside, and shiny reflective surfaces with a multitude of colours hiding in plain sight. Taking the mundane and exploring them with the use of colour. I will be posting all the art I've made sporadically as we venture forth into this lockdown. // I must applaude @alice_toich for making me fall in love with painting (again) and proving that one can essentially make an art piece a day without much struggle or effort. This whole experience feels quite effortless.
